What Internet browser do you use?
Using Chrome at the moment but have to say, Norm talking about how much he loves Firefox almost makes me want to go back and give it a try again. Can the extensions beat speed?
I'm surprised at how high Chrome's adoption numbers are. I use it myself and there are decent reasons to do so, but still.
No offense but there has bee a metric shit ton of these topics throughout the life span of Giant Bomb. But in the act of boredom, i voted Safari cause that's what i use 90% of the time.
" @FancySoapsMan: Is that "firefox" on Spanish? "Actually, what he wrote translates as, literally, "fox fire". But "fuego zorro" means nothing in Spanish, it's not a language that can use nouns in adjectival positions like English. The most accurate translation would be "zorro de fuego" (lit. "fox of fire"). Trust me, I'm a native Spanish speaker.
And a scientist.
" I'm a Mac guy, so naturally I use Safari. "I'm 1 to but that didn't keep me from moving to Firefox... Come join us ;)
" @oatz said:No thanks. Firefox runs like absolute shite on OS X compared to Safari. Bugged, slow and not as well planned as the mighty compass. It's much better at displaying animated gifs than Safari is, though." I'm a Mac guy, so naturally I use Safari. "I'm 1 to but that didn't keep me from moving to Firefox... Come join us ;) "
Loli Fox, lolololololol...
But no, since I'm not 12 years old I'm mostly using Chrome and Firefox when Chrome is weird.
Good thing that doesn't happen as often as it used to
I used to be on the Firefox bandwagon, but Chrome is speedy and feels speedy. Firefox is my backup browser if something doesn't load correctly on Chrome though; since its a new browser and not every website displays properly with Chrome.
What pisses me off is when websites don't even support Firefox by now. I mean really? Coding the language only for IE? Give me a break.
Coding the language only for IE? Give me a break.Someone needs to install IETab on their browser then. It basically emulates Internet Explorer so the sites of that nature display normally. I've seen extensions for it, for both Chrome and Firefox. At this moment in time, as I compose this post, I'm using Safari 3. Yeah, that browser that was released in 2008. I love the interface for it though, and as I only visit sites I trust I am generally safe enough. I do swap between a bunch of different browsers extremely frequently though. I use Opera, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Some of them aren't compatible with different stuff I enjoy, so I'm in a frustrating position. I love Safari, but it doesn't work flawlessly with the Giant Bomb wiki. Chrome has the same problem. Opera just doesn't 'do' the GB Wiki, and Firefox isn't a browser I enjoy as much anymore. When Firefox 4.0 releases outside of beta I may switch back to it, however.
" @Helushune said:" Other. I use Pale Moon which is a stripped down/customized/highly optimized version of FireFox that runs about 25% faster. "Didn't expect to see another Pale Moon user here. "
Seriously. Most people just look at me funny when I mention it.
