I've never watched any Star Trek, but Star Trek don't have no Bobba Fett.
What is better? Star Trek or Star Wars?
If it's between the entirety of both things, then honestly Star Wars.
Star Trek has some good series, don't get me wrong, Original, Next Gen, awesome. Deep Space 9? Drags on and on. Voyager? Terrible ending. Enterprise? Come on. And the Star Trek movies? So hit and miss, beyond even what the Star Wars movies are I think.
Really I'd call it a tie though because they're both really so strictly different things.
George Lucas made a fairy tale aimed at our times. I think he made a wonderful story, something I've not been able to enjoy to it's fullest in Star Trek. The whole Star Trek "let's go space adventuring" has its appeal though. It's always been something I've wanted to watch to completion. Aliens that look like humans but come from different quadrants of the universe bother me though. I've seen select episodes - like the two tribble episodes that go together and spann different seasons... I went to high school with a guy that actually watched every ep of every season so I got some pretty cool advice regarding what episodes to watch. I personally took a liking to The Next Generation and Voyager. I'll probably try and get ahold of some DVD set one some of these days.
Even when Star Trek was bad (Voyager/Enterprise) it never reached the levels of now comical awfulness that Star Wars has become.
So Star Trek.
to be honest i really dont care about any of them. i have seen more star wars then star trek but i respect star trek much more. not only is it the first program to have an Asian character on american tv that is not a parody but speaks well normal. it did huge things for black women in tv, it also birthed the idea of cellphones. but in the end i really could not care
Star Trek seems too serious for its own good, Star Wars has become too silly for its own good.
Star Wars has my vote because why so serious etc, but only if we talk about the original series.
