I've gotten Hanafuda Cards, a bike, a 4GB jump drive, and two years of college for free!!
And Sirius Radio!!*
What things have you gotten for free?
The only thing I really know of that I got completely free (no need to do anything previous/after receipt of the item in order to get it, besides ask) was a copy of Half Life 2 on Steam gifted to me by a generous GB user who's name I've long since forgotten. Edit: oh oh also a Too Human pre-order armor code, again I forget who gave that to me. Long-ass time ago. Thanks again guys, if you remember who you are, lol.
I used to get my money for nothin' and my chicks for free...
And MTV...okay, not MTV, but I did get HBO free for a couple of years due to some oversight while hooking up my cable. I didn't tell'm it was on and they never charged me.
Gran Turismo t shirt for doing beta, a ps2 game binder fora ratchet and clank beta ...a ff7 shirt..a bunch of stuff...used to do a hell of a lot of betas. Then I didn't do any for six months and they stopped asking.
" sex "Liar! No one gets that for free lol.
Hmm things I got for free:
-My second Xbox (from using a certificate earned from work),
-My Wii (from using a certificate earned from work),
-My copy of season 4 MacGyver because the clerk didn't charge me,
-An extra $50 from a dodgy ATM a copule of times before they fixed it :-D
-I get free passes to the movies at Hoyts cinemas fairly regularly,
-Various games, CDs or DVD etc in buy 1 get 1 free deals,
-The bombcast :-)
Thats all I can think of off the top of my head.
A lot of things but nothing really interesting. I did get a LOT of condoms though when I joined a few societies in my college. I doubt I'll ever need them but even so I normally carry one around with me anyway.
" @ieatlions said:Good call. Me too." sex ""
Also, Ive gotten some beta stuff and beta invites if you count that. I'm in almost every big name beta =P
MMmmm I got a free banjo kazooie code from EBgames cuz I flirted with the girl there. (For some reason there was this sexy blonde girl working there.. Its a mystery.)
Modern Warfare 2 poster with Infinity Ward autographs, autographed photo of Bob Crowley (one of the winners from the show Survivor, also got picture taken with him), Xbox 360 1 month card.
Just to name a few

I wish I could remember of the name of the user that gave us copies of HL2.
I've gotten a bunch of free games and even a Gameboy Advance SP for free at my old job. It was lost and found that was never picked up. The games are mostly crap, though. Brain Age and some Spongebob Squarepants DS game, some Army Men game, Pac Man game, and a second Pokemon Sapphire for the GBA.
I also got a $700+ camcorder, but the thing has no dock, and the dock isn't sold anymore, and because the thing doesn't just have a usb port for getting data off of it, I have no means of actually using anything I record with it. Bummer.
If you count birthday and Christmas presents, lots more.
Over the years, for reasons I can't quite figure out, I began getting free subscriptions to random magazines. Most notably Interview (which I hadn't even heard of until the issues began showing up in the mailbox), Seventeen (dude, what?), and Rolling Stone for about 6 years straight. To this day, I have absolutely no idea why or how I ended up having these sent to me. Baffling.
nothing is free
everything costs something, because anything you do or get means you have to forego something else (opportunity cost ftl)
oh, and sex cuz im married
Project Gotham Racing 3 was for free because Microsoft screwed up repairing my Xbox 360 and that game was compensation.
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories was free from SaySwap and Shadow the Hedgehog was free from Goozex. Both were using points you get as a sign-up bonus. I still haven't played Chain of Memories, and that was two years ago at least.
Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, and Shadow of the Colossus were free from Sony's Retail Loyalty Site back when they offered games for free instead of just discounts.
The newest Tomb Raider, they gave me the Xbox which had it packaged in for the same price as a normal one.
Then I also got the collectors edition of Fable 2, for the same price as the normal.
I won a Nintendo DS from a contest on Xfire. My family moved that week, and they shipped it to our old address. The new people there kept it.
when I was younger someone gave me their entire star wars figure collection in a darth vader carry case.... it has slots for all the empire figures released.... it was full
I was also give tthe at-at aswell... but as kids do...i buried all of those figures in the garden and crushed and broke them all and snapped the legs off of the at-at because i felt it was better as a puppet (you could move the head about from the inside)
