What's up with Russian Giantbomb?

I have no clue at all what this is. Could somebody fill me in? I don't know if I'm allowed to link it or anything, but it just makes all of our writing in all of the topics Russian and the text is purple for the most part.

That looks like a direct rip except its run through an english - russian translation systrem. All the things that arent in the dictionary (like Bombcast and API) are still in english as is anything contained in a picture (like the "New Feature link your Xbox, Steam etc. account) and the features on the front page (the picture advertising the bomb cast and quicklooks) all have text in english.

Maybe its a giant bomb fan trying to help russian peoples? Or Russian peoples trying to get the russian GB traffic? Very wierd. Im sure the staff can shed some light on whether this is official.

I went to the site and it had all the posts in this thread except mine so it updates pretty frequently say every 4/5 minutes at most.

I just asked Hamz about this on the IRC and he said it was probably somebody screwing around with the API (there also appears to be a french version of the website). I feel sorry for the poor soul that translated all of that into a different language.

Wow, that's really weird.

Probably just some kid who ripped the site and is trying to learn some web developement skills and such like. There was a french rip of the site as well, someone did make a topic on it, where again some kid ripped the site and replaced all the GB logo images with logos of his own site. Then again it didn't update as this one seems to be doing. Not entirely legal I'd imagine but I'm sure the Staff are well aware of it all.
 
That or as someone said earlier it may just be that Russian server software Andy had to use during the site's creation. Not sure if they still use it or not.

I tried to make this post from the russian giantbomb but it appears that the login button leads to an error. I guess it just translates everything.

It's basically Giant Bomb ran through Babel Fish, or something like that. It's a bit nonsensical, which makes it a hilarious read.

Took me a while but I found my profile through that site. I don't get why it's randomly purple at times.

Its weird to think that anything I write here will be translated to Russian somewhere else. Spooky!

It's the Russian goverment spying on this website so they know how Americans build nuclear weapons. They're watching the "How to Build a Bomb" videos and literaly building bombs from the information that's in them.

@CL60: Apparently Russian Bomb translates "Metal Gear Solid" as "Metallic Body of Mechanism" and "Space Invaders Extreme" as "Make Intervals In Between Emergency Invaders" So... my question is, where the fuck did you find this? =)
