My first name is Curtis, after my father. But my parents never used that out of the sake of confusion in the household.
My dad had a childhood friend named Ty, and thought it was a cool name. I like to think I'm named after the old-Norwegian spelling for Tyr, god of single-combat (duels or hand to hand).
I totally convinced my friend to name his first-born Raiden, after the Japanese god of thunder and belly-button consumption.
