Would you want nudity in the Persona games?

I've been thinking a lot about this topic. The games are really fun and are well thought out even without nudity but I think that Atlus could bring the games to an even higher level by adding just a bit more maturity to them. I don't think they should go overboard with it though. Just the girls and even then avoid doing nudity for the older women even.

I think what you are wanting is a game that leans toward allowing relationships to go past the sentimental nature they they usually stop at in games and go on to something on more of a mature, sexual level.

It could work but it would have to be done really really tastefully, and I have no idea how one would go about doing that.

I don't think nudity has been used in games in a tasteful way that much. GTA IV's DLC is the only use of nudity that had a  purpose that I saw. It made you uncomfortable like the character and showed how much this man was asserting his dominance over him. Other than that, I can't recall nudity serving a purpose in a videogame.

Nudity =/= maturity. That is the fatal flaw in your argument. The third game is very mature, yet there is no nudity. Do realize, we're discussing high school students.

Seriously adding nudity to any serious game is a bad idea. Look at Mass Effect, hardly any nudity at all and that got tore up by the media. And guess what? I would have enjoyed that game just as much without those scenes in it. It adds nothing to the game and since the people in this game are like 14 years old or something it would be disgusting.

There is only one type of person that would "enjoy the game more" with nudity but I won't describe them because it would probably get me banned.

The whole reason I have yet to play Persona is because there are a bunch of hot anime chicks, but no nudity, so yeah, I'd definately say Persona should have nudity.

There is technically nudity in the game already. Some of the persona's 2D art have frontal nudity.

Also I found it weird there's no nudity in the damn strip club.

Partial Nudity is for the Personas and Shadow Rise. And no, nudity would not make this game better at all, and it as sure as crap wouldn't make it more "mature". There's a difference between a "Mature" rating and a mature game. I also don't see how nudity would make any game crazier or more controversial. There is porn on the internet, why do you care if there is porn in games?

I guess I'm not really sure what all the backlash against nudity here is. It's cartoon nudity so it wouldn't be illegal. If Helen Mirren were to play the role of the Wendy's girl in a commercial and got naked it wouldn't be illegal. Also, it's just a logical progression of what the game is doing. It seems like Atlus is holding back the nudity just for taste's sake which doesn't necessarily equate to quality.

Nudity can be artistically done in video games. It can be used to symbolize a number of things. Just as nudity can be used in critically acclaimed films, in can be used just as well in video games.

I can't imagine it in Persona 4 though due to the way I've been introduced to the game through Jeff and Vinny. Making it some sort of daily show, and also since the game has a anime-style format, it would be weird to see nudity in it just because I have seen it in any of those mediums before. But if I was to view Persona 4 from a different perspective I think nudity could be effectively used in the game. I mean it's a game about a killer who kidnaps his victims and kills them by making them fight their hidden emotions. If the game took a more gritty approach to the story then I could see nuditiy being used to cause fear in the player.
