I just talked to a 13 year old kid who didn't know what the N64 was. I loved my N64! And it doesn't feel like it's that old...

Psh, they need to die, although, I do remember hearing some teenagers going like: "Hey, Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, remember Banjo Kazooie on the N64?"

yeah, so I talk to kids who don't know who MC Hammer was or Urkel, it's weird, kids born in the 90s can buy cigarettes now, that makes me really old (born in '82)

I don't know man, I think a 13 year old who doesn't know what an N64 is is probably pretty out of touch.  Don't beat yourself up too bad.

Everyone should remember the N64 if they were born any time in the 90's. It is the best console ever.

Exactly.  Probably raised by Amish people, or wolves :)
Take him under your wing and give him a good beating (game wise) with Smash Bros or Mario Kart 64 to bring him up to speed.

I'm pretty sure knowledge of the N64 is inherited from birth. He's not human, my friend. Only you can stop the alien invasion!

I have the grey hair, but still all of it.  Which is better - colour & thinning or greying and full body of hair?  I'll stick with the latter.  A dye job looks better than a rug :)

I'm 17 and the N64 is what really got me into gaming. It's still in my room ( I'm playing No Mercy). Along with the family's SNES(Killer Instict) and NES. The NES is broken I tried fixing the pin connecter but it is really fucked up. I would be playing the first Metroid right now.... :(

I remember about a month ago when my 11 year old niece picked up my old n64 from a box and asked me "whats this?". Boy was she surprised when i told her what it was and even more surprised when we played a game of mario kart.

I played Pong in the 70's and I'm 44. I don't feel old at all, because the games are always new... maybe with a twist.

See? Just look at Claude and you won't feel old anymore. :)

Seriously though; you're basing your feeling of oldness on a talk with a 13-year-old?

Whippersnappers, the lot of you! GET OFF MY LAWN!

Belly-aching about something as recent as a 5th generation console makes me feel old.  I had a Pong system as a child, my best friend at the time had a Magnavox Odyssey. In junior high, my friends and I played Mattel Electronic Football. I remember a Street Fighter that was just Ken and Ryu.

I think it's okay to feel old because with age comes wisdom, an appreciation for how far we've come, and the type of perspective that comes with a life lived.

Dude I totally did that when I was younger.  Even the worst games in the world seemed amazing at that time

I remember renting an N64 from blockbuster when Toys R Us didn't have enough to fill my preorder.  Good times.

Yeah ditto. =(

I had some great times with the N64. Me and my dad used to play International Superstar Soccer on it all the time (although trying to play it now is difficult to say the least...).  The N64 was also the first time I played a Resident Evil game(RE2), some great moments!

Of course, who can forget Zelda!
