Okay, so out of the various forums I frequent I felt that the videogame forum would yield the most interesting results, for obvious reasons. The guitar and music forums that I am a member of would more than likely deliver responses that make far too much sense and thus wouldn't be entertaining to read. So here I am, a Giantbomb member, asking fellow gamers where they like picking up women.
I know there are lots of members here still students in high school, and in all honesty that doesn't count. Being grouped together with people that you inevitably have to talk with anyways doesn't count as picking anyone up.
For me personally, I have tried several locales for meeting members of the opposite sex, many with less than noteworthy (IE coming home with my tail between my legs) results. I'll go ahead and start with my favorite, and that would be the dog park. Now, the dog park is good because how many skanks do you know that own dogs? This ensures they don't spend all their time with other men or hitting the crack pipe. You don't want to go to a normal park because that leaves too many options for you to strike up a conversation. If you go to a dog park, you know exactly what the hell you are going to converse about; the girl's dog. It's surprisingly easy to take that conversation and go completely off topic real quickly.
Another good location for me personally was the community college I went to for two years. Now, before you ask, no, I don't go back to the college just to pick up some nice young ladies, that would just be creepy. But community college was great for meeting the ladies. You see, in community college you get young women that care about themselves, but they aren't necessarily as big of work horses as say a student at Harvard. I took several bullshit classes in community college, including "Music Appreciation," and it's these worthless classes that you likely only take for credit to transfer elsewhere that you'll meet potential acquaintances. When I took the class, nobody gave two shits about it and thus it resulted in being like high school all over again, making for an easy semester of filling up my phone with numbers.
Other good places:
- The beach, I suggest inviting your fat friend to go along with you so you look slightly less pathetic.
- Starbucks: this is actually hit or miss; things can get terribly awkward
- The nightclubs: since the United States is fucking retarded, I'm a couple months shy of even being able to go to most of these, but I have heard magical stories.
