I'm talking about The University of South Carolina Gamecocks baseball team. Winners of the 2011 College World Series, it's the collegiate baseball championship series. Not only did they win tonight, but this is their second consecutive championship.

I'm from North Carolina, but you gotta love South Carolina.

The Gamecocks beat the Florida Gators to win the series. I forgot about Steve Spurrier being the South Carolina head football coach.

The fact that our baseball team made it to face you guys was pretty amazing. I don't even think I was alive the last time UConn made it to the super-regionals. We beat you guys at Basketball, though, and basketball is clearly more important.

I'm happy for South Carolina. I really am. Here are my thoughts on their championship, though: 
1) I'm glad that Florida lost. 
2) This will not make me like their football program or Steve Spurrier any more than I ever have. 
3) SEC! SEC! 
4) I'm REALLY glad that the Gators lost.
