Turn 10's third installment in the Forza series. Forza Motorsport 3 offers 100 tracks and 400 cars with full customization, as well as video editing and uploading.
Thought it would be a good idea for anyone who has some sweet designs they want to show off, if you post them in here then it will A) Keep the forums looking pretty neat and B) Help others who want to see some cool designs see them all in one thread.
So, I haven't got my copy of the game yet (My Girlfriend is making me wait till my birthday to play it as she bought it for me lol) so who wants to go first?
This is probably my favorite one. Yeah, I know this is from Forza 2 but it's basically the same thing, right? I'll probably make this again in FM3 but I won't be buying it for a while.

It's a pretty good car to drift with too. Bad thing is I can't even sell any of these because I don't have XBL Gold.
@Dethfish77: That is indeed a very cool car, Shame there is no way to transfer designs from 2 to 3 (that I know of anyway) especially for people who have put a lot of time into them.

i can't wait until this game comes out it's going to be great. i can't wait until this thread starts getting full of people's designs. in forza 2 i had a wind waker zelda on a scion tc. it was alright, it was my first design.
I'm just showing off this GB logo I made a few days ago ^^^. Find it in my storefront: iToastage FM, or keywords "Logo" and then "Video Games". I've also got a 1up logo up there.
I spent a good few hours today designing the "Bomb Face" Logo from the site. I then went on to use it on my Citreon C4. Only completed two races so far! Finding the Vinyl edittor to be waaaay too much fun!
Not really impressed with that paint editor, it just seems way to clunky to be able to come up with good designs. Im pretty shocked on how many people think its the greatest thing in the game...
@Burns098356GX... I understand. For me, its just a way to express yourself aside from being a racer. Yeah, its not the greatest thing in a game... But it is a good way to earn some CR while enjoying your talent. :) peace! :D

It's not photoshop, but it's quite good for a game-only editor with solely gamepad input.
Just wish you could import .jpg's or something. Then I'd do all my work in PS.

I think that's why people like it. It makes it more impressive when someone makes something good looking, and if it was too easy everyone would just be importing goatcx and boobs, and you wouldn't care to pay ingame money to buy car designs.

I think it's good that you can't import tbh, if you could then every one would have great designs, and then what would be the point in having a market place at all?

That's the point. It's not photoshop. It's designed to be clunky. They said in an interview that if they wanted, they could have made a PC editor where you could upload your own pictures, but then what's the point? Then anybody could shove a picture of something on a car. The skill here is to use the clunky editor and make something truly amazing.
They even reward it now in F3, so that's pretty sweet.

PNG or TGA would be my main choice, but I'm talking about bandwidth and any impact on framerate mate. Teensy .jpg's are probably the best bet due to their small size.

It wouldn't impact framerate because Forza would probably convert it into it's own image format and lower the quality or something. But whatever, I'm kind of glad they havn't done that because otherwise there would be thousands of cars with people's girlfriends or porn on them.

this. Besides if everyone could make great stuff instantly the auction house would simply die out. The whole point is it's difficult, but mastering it means you can get great rewards from selling them, or indeed just having nice looking cars.
Besides that, if you're not good at designing the art, there's always the storefront/auction house to buy the designs. Over time there will be plenty of unique designs to go around.
Those Japanese sure put a lot of effort into making their designs...
I'm not a good artist at all, but after putting a few hours each into some paintjobs (and utilizing plenty of vinyl groups from the storefronts), I'm compelled to show them off.
Giant Bomb #14 Stock Car This was my first effort, adding a background (similar to the 2005 Carl Edwards Office Depot look) to complement the Giant Bomb and NASCAR logos I grabbed from the storefront. I guess it's really not all that much effort on my part because of that, but I enjoy it nevertheless.
Aha! Is this our car? ...and this was inspired by a certain thread suggesting a Chie car, which so happened to run through my mind while contemplating paintjobs for my F200 cars. I added the window tinting to try and match the color of her track jacket's inside collar, but I'm still not sold on how that looks.
...annnnd the rear. I post this rear picture only to point out the tiny picture of raw steak on the gas cap. Fueled by the meat dimension? I think so.
@PsEG: Oh man that car is fucking awesome. It would be even better if you got better and had a vinyl of Chie slapped on the car. =P
Time for me to show off some of my stuff...
Fast and furious and small, my first car sports my own custom vinyl of a smile. "K-ON!" design. Its an anime/manga series which I dont really know, but this skin IS THE SHIT. Oh. I got it for free too. One of the top downloads. My first skin design on the Mugen Integra, if thats how you spell it. I really dig on how it turned out. Its called "Simplified" for its clean and simple look. Yeah. More of it baby. You can get my skin for free by searching the keyword "Simplified GBDC". Think of it as a promotion. Besides that, I've got more money than I know what to do with (I just drive around with one car fully upgraded so I don't really spend much)...
