Gears of War 2 was pretty fun.  Beyond having one of the worst final bosses ever.

I'm playing through the first one atm, I think Uncharted 2 spoiled me on cover-based TPS's because I'm not enjoying it.

I still need to play the second Gears. I like the first one, but I don't think it's that amazing.

Cool, their development cycle is going to be longer.  Working multiplayer day one, maybe?  Already a lot of other stuff coming out this year anyways.  5 months away from Reach and COD7 is a pretty good move.

Damn, April. Really thought it would be the standard October/November release this year. Still if it means a better game then, i'll allow them the extra time ;). Gears is still probably my favourite shooter, even over the godly MW2, not that they can be directly compared.

I was right, and I was wrong. Right that the game would be announced early this year (though I thought it would be a big E3 reveal), wrong that it would be coming out any time this year. I'm sure they really wanted to spread around the releases, and Halo Reach is their game in the spotlight right now. 
 
I'm also very doubtful that I'll buy this game, which is ironic considering Gears of War was the game that pushed me into buying an Xbox 360.

Good News, but since it was a trilogy from the start it was easy to see this coming. Underwater combat could be promising, and then mech suits-maybe a spin off from Lost Planet?

YES i am so glad i will have a 360 in the house next year.

I loved Gears 1, but I haven't played Gears 2 because Epic is afraid of PC pirates. Damn. Of course, if it did come out on PC, I may or may not pirate it anyway, so I guess i'm really the problem (I don't mean that, I buy my games).
