I mean he REALLY does, theres no innovation whatsoever in the 30 years he's been playing, his 10 minute solos consist of literally 3 or 4 notes over and over again, theres only so many times he can bend his e string (or orange button :p) before it just sounds repetitive as hell!

Of all the guitarists to put in a GH game, a man that did a song with Sean fucking Paul is NOT one of them!!

Kirk Hammett - No.

Yngwie Malmsteen - Give me a break, he can play fast. Terrible.

Ollie Tukiainen - Decent

Padge - Decent

Slash - Good, but massively over-rated

I have to agree, kinda. Old Santana is OK, just OK. Anything from his Rob Thomas era stuff is garbage though.

Honestly the guy has talent. He plays a mean guitar, but should he be in GH? Well thats upto the user. For me I would have rather seen Steve Vai. If you are a Santana fan then good for you though, enjoy =)

Dude, you've crossed the line. No more talking. Santana is the man. I cannot wait for this game. I think I'm more excited for this than Guitar Hero: Van Halen. I think it's pretty much guaranteed I'll be buying this one shortly after its release. Bring on the "Oye Como Va". Oh yeah.

@Drebin_893: Yngwie can play very fast, and that USED 2 b what GH was about, a good challenge for the devotees aswell as awesome songs we all know and love. But now we have Coldplay getting involved and 1 of the most technically unimpressive guitarists ever aswell. I'm not disagreeing that its gonna b fun 2 see what his solo tune is, but when theres so many other guitarists they could have put in this game, its insane.

And unless you're goin for the 'hate Metallica coz I think its cool' thing, why is Hammett a no? Can YOU play half the stuff he has produced? I think not

Honestly enough, I actually can, I'd say about 3/4's I can play. I only like the Pr-Black Album Metallica.

And playing fast isn't what Guitar Hero was about. The first Guitar Hero was just about playing amazing guitar songs.

The man is half right. You simply can't say the guitarists he listed are terrible, you can say you don't like them, but you can't say they are terrible.

Although, man. Some people might prefer Santana to Page or Hendrix. I know I prefer him to Page, but I still respect that Page is a better guitarist. Do you know what I mean, am I making any sense? Sorry if not.

Well Hendrix has already been in a GH game b4, so theres not a whole lotta point putting him in again, as 4 Page I would rather they did a full on tribute to Zeppelin in their own game as oppose to just a guitar battle, I think th GH franchise is more suited to the guitarists I mentioned, instead of just saying 'Hendrix FTW!' over and over again.

I respect Santana's style. He is not really a technical guitarist, but I like his guitar playing very much anyways.
