It's like a Firefly reunion, in the Halo universe! YAY!!!

Seriously, it is! Minus the female cast members, any Joss Whedon involvement, a countryish intro song, uhm.. and other things.

I was excited when I heard Nathan Fillion's voice in one of the trailers, from that point on I was pretty psyched and that was before I even knew that Adam Baldwin and Alan Tudyk were even in the game too.

But what if you're not a Firefly fan? wtf is wrong with you? You got a problem with great television and a movie that isn't accepted by the mainstream even though it's worthy of a huge following only to get an occult one? Huh, is that your deal?

    ...scuse me, off topic there.

This game to me, makes up for Halo 2 and 3 in my eyes, mainly because I had no idea what the fudge was happening in Halo 2 or 3. Seriously, what was going on? I didn't get that story at all. Where this one is easy to follow, you play as the Rookie trying to catch up to his team in a wasted city.

The game actually has a somewhat depressing maybe even oppressing feeling, at least that's how I felt wondering around the city by your self. The music has a lot to do with this, but also who you are in this city has probably even more to do with it.  If you were Master Chief this would be easy, but you're not.. you're a rookie who doesn't have the arm strength to Dual Wield. You're also a hell of a lot more vulnerable and have to figure out ways to get around the odd's that are very much against you.

It is a short title and as some one who doesn't actually play a lot of online, that's a bit of a sin, however what the game does accomplish, with a great looking city, an interesting story (I wanted to know what happened to my squad!!) what's available in this game especially the thought of going back again to find more audio logs works well enough for me.

Yeah, I'm giving it 4 and a half. Take off a star you don't like Firefly and remove you're self from my presence (haha j/k... or am I?), add a half if you love mutliplayer, and subtract a whole star if you don't like short games and don't care for a lot of exploring.

      From Bungie With Love 0

Right off the bat, let's get one thing straight here. Halo 3: ODST is a Halo game-- more specifically, Halo 3 with some slight tweaks. The core gameplay is all still here, just as strong as it's always been. If you've never been a fan of Halo's style of gameplay however, ODST is not going to change your mind. Some periphery elements have been changed, but at the core there is little different in ODST that will attract new players. That fact might seem elementary, but it's important to remember;...

Sometimes low expectations are a really good thing.. 0

I´ve played through all of the Halo games at least once and I enjoy them as shooters. But I´m not a huge fan of the universe and I don´t think I´ve played the multiplayer even once. I´ve always managed to get caught up in the hype machine for each game but this time I was kind of unaffected by it. I still decided to pick ODST up and boy did I benefit from my low expectations. I went in expecting an ok expansion for Halo 3 but before the campaign was over I ended up feeling like this is my favori...
