Yeah it's fine. I didn't have a problem with the other one (you know, the old new one), but this one seems to stomp out some of the "gruff" from the original while staying true to the character.

Looks good I guess. I still don't get why everyone freaked out about the original design though.

It looks great now. A good combination of the old and newer versions of Cole. I feel like slapping all the idiots who are now complaining that he looks too generic and that he has tattoos etc on other sites. For all we know he had tattoos in the first game. It was just covered up by his sleeves :)

Also, I quite like the new voice actor. He did  a good job in that first animated comic book cut scene they released a few weeks back.

yea wtf was with the original redesign anyway. why would u change everything about a character so soon after the old look. his face didnt even look the same. not a big deal but seriously what the hell lol. i thought he kinda ended up looking like nathan drake or something.

It's ok, slightly boring, but I was fine with what they had before. There was nothing great about the original game's Cole. Just people on the internet hating any change. Now he's just going to have a voice that won't fit with his appearance.

I just wonder if the new voice actor is going to fit with this Cole.

He has a caveman brow and an emotionless expression.  I honestly don't think they should have buckled so quickly to reactionary message boards, but whatever.
 
Also, that shirt is a shallow placation.  It's just like his jacket with short sleeves.  I can almost hear Sucker Punch through these pictures.  'There!  Are you happy?!'

Funny, I saw the trailer and wondered if they changed his shirt from black and white into black and yellow-ish, but couldn't tell because of the lighting. Then I go to his character page and it turns out his T-shirt from before was all black, whups. 
 
I like his new shirt, it's more in line with his old jacket's colour scheme, and it makes sense for him not to wear one in the warmer climate, kinda.

Seems good. I can see the new voice fitting with this look.

His pants kinda suck.  

I like it and I think that's it's awesome they even changed it, Sucker Punch is awesome that they listened to all the fans and did something about it.  Great job, now give us some Sly 4!!!

Looks good, still a bit disappointed the new voice actor doesn't even seem to try and emulate the original voice of the character though.
 
That to me is going to be the hardest issue about inFAMOUS 2, I could live with a visual redesign but a voice in my mind is what makes a person unique.

I had two problems with the last one: Pants and Tattoos. Those are gone now. Cole is fine.

Much better than before, but either look wouldn't have prevented me from enjoying the game.

I just wish the game would give you alternate costumes for Cole to unlock. Maybe the old-new Cole will be a hidden costume as a lil easter egg =P "

Looks worse than the redesign, if you're going to have a younger looking Cole use the first redesign, if you're going to have the shaved head Cole use the original, don't combine them to make the doucheiest looking guy possible.

So any bets Gamestop gets a pre-order bonus that is the original Cole skin?

I can't say it enough, but I thought Cole was the absolute worst thing about Infamous. He was an entirely uninteresting character, who sounded like he was trying far too hard to emulate Marcus, and just came across as an emotionless, empty, dull ass-hole. I was for anything they could do to move Cole away from that in the new game. 
 
What's worse, is that the new voice for him sounds absolutely ridiculous coming from that character model. It just seems so ill-fitting. There's a reason that a lot of developers try to mold the characters to look at least somewhat like that actor that's voicing them. 
 
Everyone has their preferences I guess. I just wish they had stuck with what they felt was an improvement. The least I can hope for now is that the look from E3 is an unlockable costume in the final game.

The re-redesign looks fine, but I thought the redesign was fine, too. So I guess either way is cool with me. I kinda just wish Sucker Punch didn't bow so quickly to whiny internet tantrums...

I never liked the original Cole design.  The re-imagining of that character was better IMO.  Still, I find story to be an important aspect in games and the spunky hipster look he had in the sequel was way too jarring when compared to his gruff appearance/personality in the original.  Don't sacrifice character development for mainstream appeal.

i like how he looked in the game informer article screenshots new but with  hair from the first game
