Just to lat everybody know that Jeff is the same person that loves Tim & Eric. =P

If Jeff hates Futurama and I love Futurama, I must come up with this conclusion. 
 
I hate Jeff Gerstmann. 
 

I did not know that, but there are a lot of reasons to not like futurama. I personally really like that show.

Overall I like Futurama better than the Simpsons, The Simpsons formula has never really changed. At least Futurama has aliens and robots and stuff :D 
  
For a while now I wished that the Simpsons would change to something like where its 10 years into the Simpsons future, Not 10 years in time but 10 years for them. For example Bart is now 20 and Lisa is 18 and she goes to College or somthing. Anything is better than the current Simpsons formula.

Futurama is kind of awful, some of the stories are interesting (parallell universes and such) but the humor is very lame and simpson-ish, the minor story arcs are very kiddy, the voices are bad, the artstyle is horrific. So I have enjoyed some eps just for the grand story-arc... but there is so much bad about this series.

Just because you like something doesn't mean everyone else has to. 
Also, potentially, to wind people up.

Man, some people act like they're 3 years old. Do we sleep with him? Even if we did, the first thing we'd ask him after getting up with him after a long, sexy night would be "Did you like it?", not "Why do you hate Futurama?".

The only thing I got from the original post is you want to know why Jeff doesn't like Futurama and if you take all the post out that didn't answer the question then the thread would be blank because Jeff hasn't come in here to explain his dislike for Futurama and every speculation as to why is met with you calling the poster a troll.  The only reason he wouldn't like it is for negative reasons and you get mad when somebody says something negative about the show.  It would be like me asking why doesn't somebody like Halo and then getting mad when somebody says something negative about it.  By the way calling it "your" thread is childish.  You put it out here so it becomes the community's thread. I love Futurama and I find that mine and Jeff's opinions differ quite often. 
 
But then again I suspect Jeff sometimes forms opinions on things that he doesn't have much experience in... like his ever-changing opinion on The Beatles' music.

EOT, now finally. This dumb thread went just too far off the topic.

He also loves Mortal Kombat and doesn't like Street Fighter III. He's a bit of an odd ball but w/e.

It has its moments, but Futurama has these two weird ways of working: 
 
A.  You like Futurama and defend it to holy hell believing that it's something of a messiah amongst animated shows, even though it's just that Futurama is a quirky show made by the guy that created The Simpsons and isn't really ever that funny until you are reminiscing about the episodes. 
 
B.  You don't like Futurama and feel the need to make sure that all people who do like Futurama know that you don't like it, then go on to talk about how much you don't like it and think it's stupid...but you've probably only seen one or two episodes and have no grasp of what the show actually is. 
 
In the end, Futurama is a cultural phenomenon kind of thing where the audience is incredibly divided to the same extent as Grand Theft Auto IV or Metal Gear Solid. 
 
Personally, I think the show is mediocre at best, riding on the same level of "comedy" as Napoleon Dynamite - it's kind of funny at times when you remember certain parts and realize just how bonked out and weird as fuck it can be, but the jokes themselves aren't that funny until you quote them over and over because you are one of the few people that knows what the quote and joke is. 
 
The one thing that I will give Matt Groening about that show is the fact that he proves he can make a consistent universe to place his characters in.

The word hate means actively disliking something. I don't think Jeff actively dislikes many things. He passively dislikes them like... FUCK YOU...

You know what. I disagree with a lot of Jeff's opinions, but I still enjoy watching and reading his stuff.
