At some point, we'll be enjoying a nice hunk of new  Mass Effect 2 content that serves as a downloadable bridge for Mass Effect 3. For now, though, we'll have to settle for smaller, self-contained DLC packs such as Overlord, which now has a release date of June 15,  according to Major Nelson.

Don't kick yourself if you don't know what Overlord is. I didn't until I peeked at the official Mass Effect 2 website hoping for an update. According to the blurb, which was ironically added just yesterday afternoon, the DLC revolves around Shepard finding a base overrun by Geth. A sole survivor tells the Commander that the base's occupants were attempting to fuse a human with "virtual intelligence," and apparently they succeeded. The bad news is that this hybrid, named "VI Overlord," is going all Terminator on humans, attacking space installations in an attempt to free itself. So, yeah, you're going to have to stop that.

Hope we get a Game of the Year Edition with all this DLC!

I wish this DLC added more weapons and armor as well.

Nah. I'm past ME2 at this point. 4 playthroughs was enough for me.

I'll pass because in hindsight Kasumi was kinda lame.

Hopefully this will give me the 160 EXP I need to get to level 30...geez...

BioWare has it's own currency now?  I want to buy games in Shrute bucks.  Maybe when The Office rts game comes out -- one can only hope.

I'm still not certain about Kasumi, and the flyinghoverwhatyamacallit thingie didn't interest me one bit.

No point in me bootin it up for small-time DLC. I'll just wait for it all to come out and then freak out on it...If the price is right, that is.

I am totally game for anything that involves more Mass Effect.

Seeing as I only have maybe an hour in ME2 so far I suppose maybe I will purchase this.  I keep getting distracted by other games though so hell, ME3 might be out by the time I get around to playing 2.

I have enough games coming in the post to do me but I may pick this up in a couple of weeks.

Will pick this up after I'm done with Dragon Age.

Not touched ME2 since finishing it, saving up all this tiny DLC for my perfect playthrough just before ME3 is released. Nice to know that stockpile is getting bigger.

I would have loved to get a GOTY version of ME2. But that means I wouldn't have been able to get the now impossible to find CE of the game. So, DLC it is then!! 
 
I'll Just buy a 16GB USB stick and put all my DLC on there.

i love mass effect! but the dlc is just not meaningful in any way , the paid ones least of all the normandy crash was ok since it was free and all

I am done with Mass Effect 2 it's too late but this does seem reasonably priced.

 looking forward to this. hopefully legion will get some cool lines.

is there any problems with this game on PC?

I still haven't gotten around to the Firewalker DLC, the Kasumi DLC, and to completing my second playthrough.

 I am a big fan of the Mass Effect series, but I couldn't give less of a fuck about the Mass Effect DLC. I already experienced the story and I'm not going to drop ten bucks here and another ten bucks there for short uninspired pieces of content six months after I already finished the game. Besides, I thought the reason I bought it new was so I could get free DLC from the Cerberus Network; not pay another $60 over the life of the game for meaningless stuffing.

Can't wait to try out this "darker" DLC. Fucking love me some Mass Effect 2.

Just in time for me. I just started playing ME2 again, I haven't gotten 'round to playing Kasumi/Firewalker yet.
