That's because it was almost impossible to make a good-looking female face in ME2 so most people stuck with the default (and maybe tweaked a few things here or there).

This is true, which makes it all the more insane that they're having a vote that includes face structure. You won't see default male Shepard players going through this shit.

I feel that anyone who plays a male Shepard instantly forfeits their right to complain that there aren't enough positive female roles in video games, or that female video game protagonists are too sexualized. Beyond that, Jennifer Hale's voice acting is just better than the male Shepard's. I played through ME1 as male Shepard, then I tried a female Shepard playthrough and never looked back.

Well, I'm not complaining. Also while I agree that Hale has slightly better VO, it's simply impossible for me to believe that Shepard could ever be a woman. That may sound a bit sexist, but come on, there's just no way a woman can fill those shoes.

Not the blond one. Blond hair is supposed to be pretty hard to come by naturally in the Mass Effect universe unless you splice it or whatever you do and that shit pops out too much, so of course people would want that more. Personally, I like the third one.

Shephard number 1 is Natalie Portman. I voted for number 5, because jesus christ, at least she isn't Natalie Portman.

Number 4 fits the voice actress the best. She has the strongest features.

Yup, this is exactly my problem with 5. She looks too typically pretty, I really can't see her as a military commander (4 has this problem too).

Not a huge problem, since I'm going to continue to use my custom one anyway.. but I really feel that the poster face choice shouldn't have come down to the fans.

They all look too young.
