Mass Effect 3 Delayed into Early 2012
Suits me. Removes the stress of Skyrim vs ME3 in terms of which to play first to join the discussion.
Looking forward to it, the delay is no major upset.
I'll be the first to say that while other people were calling it, I was sure it would move for no game.
Mass Effect 3 is one of those games, for me, that even if I was playing something else newly release that I really loved and hadn't finished, I'd still put that on the back-burner to play ME 3.
Skyrim fortunately is another one of those games so I'm happy they're sperated if they were close together. :-)
That would be like the old adage goes: "When an unstoppable force hits an immovable" etc, etc.
Both of these games deserve a gamers full attention!
But in the longview, I'm always glad when a game is given some extra time, that usually means, to use half a wine tasters metaphor; it's fermenting into something truly awesome and tasty.
" They need more time to streamline everything. Probably something like this: D pad to select dialog. LB to do blue chicks. LT to do green chick. RB to do humans. RT to do robots. Y to shoot. X to get mission. B to order dlc. A to facebook like the game. "Man that sounds hot, I might need to be alone when I play this game.
Reapers... First that whole taking over the galaxy thing, and now delaying the release of Mass Effect 3.
This is fantastic news! I was worried about a rushed sequel, but it sounds like they made a hard choice in defense of quality.
Cool the longer I have to wait to hear everyone gushing about how great it is the better, though on the other hand maybe it will just be better when it is over with.
I was probably going to wait a few months for patches anyway, after the last few BioWare releases. I'm glad they see it too.
Dark Souls, Skyrim, Uncharted, Batman -- there's still going to be stuff to play.
Gives me more time with Uncharted 3 and Arkham City. Whenever it's done I shall snatch it up eagerly.
" Hopefully they sprinkle some depth onto it like the first one had (not gonna happen) "I don't really understand how the first game had more depth.. It had an inventory system that was used for nothing except breaking down items into omnigel and a slightly more elaborate skill tree. I really don't know how anyone could call removing clunky features to be dumbing down..
Thumbs up. The extra few months will be worth it, I'm sure.
Thank god. I was worried that the time frame to realease this game was way too soon. Reminded me too much of how it was with Dragon Age 2.
" @GrilledCheez01 said:I think the vehicle missions expanded the world, made it less claustrophobic although they need to make it more fleshed out and collecting armor and weapons was better than just being told your mandatory gun just got better. That being said the inventory management was a pain in the ass, so I hope they take the best of both worlds. After putting 20hrs+ into DA2 finally deciding to just stop playing cause it's garbage... I'm a little nervous." Hopefully they sprinkle some depth onto it like the first one had (not gonna happen) "I don't really understand how the first game had more depth.. It had an inventory system that was used for nothing except breaking down items into omnigel and a slightly more elaborate skill tree. I really don't know how anyone could call removing clunky features to be dumbing down..That said, DA2 was pretty poorly received and apparently ME3's been delayed to make it "appeal to a wider audience". Some have taken to assume that means more dumbing down or adding multiplayer... But I'd guess that they've gone back to add more RPG elements."
