Hey, I've just started a play through as an infiltrator, but a mate of mine told me that certain classes are unable to complete the game due to a glitch, but he couldn't remember which ones they were. Needless to say, I'd rather know now than 20 hours down the line, but google as I might I can't find any reference to this anywhere. Is it true? Does anybody know which classes (if any) I should avoid?

    Thanks a lot.

Every class can complete the game.  There are some glitches that affect only certain classes on certain missions, but none of them prevent you from completing the story.

yeah, that's bullshit.  Maybe he meant that the infiltrator is so bad (and it is) that you can't complete the game with it?

Certain classes are harder to get through the game with, especially when you ramp the difficulty up.

I was at a certain point, where it was literally impossible to pass one of the bosses with. I had to use an exploit and drive the mako in.

Well, maybe.... apparently engineer makes it hard to complete, and I'm taking it from your responses that infiltrator is not much better? lol. Maybe I should just go vanguard and start over......

See - I suck at decisions. lol

    Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

Nah, you can beat the game with all classes. It's just obnoxiously hard with some.

But Zombie Hunter..... you are probably not quite the n00b that I am, and therefore more able to rise to the challenge of difficult class in difficult mode. lol. I'm not gonna lie to you - I tend to die. A lot.

OK..... my play style on Eden Prime was as follows. Approach the enemies at a steady pace, occasionally ducking for cover and firing from behind that, but basically pressing the trigger button until everything was dead, then looting all I could. I was decrypting doors, but apparently all classes can do that, so I'm starting to not get the point of 'decryption' as a power.
So (and I appreciate that this is now off topic in the extreme, and I understand the problem of these 'what class should I play as' questions, since they depend on all manner of gaming style/preference factors, as well as personal opinion, so sorry about this), if I continue to play in this fashion (rush at the enemy headlong and shoot til they are dead) would I be better switching to vanguard or soldier?

Sorry, thanks for all the replies. :)

Well if you prefer rushing and just being rambo in general, i suggest the solider class

i haven't played mass effect in a while but the solider class has a move that practically makes you invincible when you max it out which is really handy

Sadly, its not that I intentionally rush in and do the rambo thing. I just seem to be unable to stealth my way anywhere, and then I panic and go into kill mode. :)

    Thanks

Many of the boss fights you dont get alot of choice.
