Come on guys. Okay let's think about the most recent Rambo movie. Stallone looked like an old piece of meat in it. However, it fit the character. He was old, grizzled, and jaded from everything he had been through. How could Max Payne not end up like that after everything? Now think back to Rambo again. Didn't Stallone still bring the business to the baddies? He still had it in him. Max will always have it in him. Don't knock a game for trying something new with character design. Not all protaganists have to be cookie cutter buff and 20-something action heros.

Didn't they say that Max would be worn out and beaten down when they first announced it? Seems to me like a perfect fit.

That for it's not Max Payne, and they shouldn't call it Max Payne 3 because it has nothing to do with the previous games.
That Max Payne has no resembles with the original one, I don't know the story of this one but just the fact that it's based in a hot colorful environment like Brazil and not in a cold darker New York city.

I don't know, this is creeping me out a bit, i have been waiting so long for Max Payne 3 and i know it will deliver but please Rockstar, please stick with the first image concept.

I bet you play as this dude for like 10 minutes before you see a caption that says "15 years earlier" and a late title.

@Insectecutor: Now that would be pretty funny. And the new Max is not even the one from the other games. He is like a teenage or something, with a squeaky voice. Of course, that would be more than 15 years earlier, but you get my drift.

He doesnt look like Max at all. They should probably not have called it Max payne 3, because from other images, it doesnt seem to have any similarities at all with the previous games.

Still though, it could be good, but Id prefer the old setting and so on.

I think it actually looks like the Max Payne model from 2 though.  He's just older.

Looks like Sid Haig who played Captain Spaulding in House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, which is bad ass.

If the game is good and it has a good story i wouldn't mind playing it

Considered the glaring difference in Max 1&2 with the characters appearance I don't think this is an issue but I think it looks like old max once they put the voice to it, it will work.
