That was a truly awful experience.

EPIC Fail, EA or Dice, or whoever was in charge of producing this product (I dare you to call it a game). You want to know how amazing this new and revolutionary game play is? Well, you run and you jump! After that you die. Respawn, do-over! It's just not possible to understand, where to go under fire of snipers! You need to run and check, die and try again, only after you've been there already! For the record, i am not a whiny little bitch. I am very big and muscular bitch, who just wants to enjoy a GAME, not some technical demo of some new way to run over walls and... what else is there? What so new about anything in this game? We didn't run over the walls? Hello Prince of Persia! We didn't crawl in ventilation shafts? Hello Splinter Cell! And believe me, you don't do it in a cool way like in trailers! This people do that fancy, because they've done that for a dozens of times! They've created this damn thing! Graphics? You don't see anything, except for concrete and glass! Also some neon and bright lights, that make me want to go in an epileptic shock! And the dark levels... Oh, the pain. Dark levels in this game are the most crappy thing I've ever had to enjoy for money! I mean, come on! I actually got lost in that place! Thank you for listening, i hope EA will suffer for their sins some day.

DICE is primarily known for its popular Battlefield series. Because of that, it's surprising they are behind Mirror's Edge. This game isn't focused on gunplay at all. In fact, the game encourages you to avoid combat situations at all times, and the act of shooting a gun isn't satisfying either, which is weird, since the guns definitely packed a punch in the Battlefield games. Instead of being a shooter, Mirror's Edge is based on Parkour, the sport that sees athletes moving from point A to point ...

Despite its issues, Mirror's Edge pulls through in originality. 0

Editor's Note: Video review included! Both reviews took me quite awhile, and this is my first review in nearly a year. Both reviews differ from each other and include a few different thoughts. Unfortunately, my capturing device went FUBAR prior to the review, so I had to use trailer footage for the video. In result, I could not always use footage that fit the context.
