I didn't think I'd stop calling it Call of Duty, but the rebranding worked on me. It's even sounds awkward to call it a Call of Duty game now.

it has also affected me. Modern Warfare 2 sounds like a good title for it, as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 just sounds weird. 

I don't mind saying modern warfare 2. However trying to recall the previous one is starting to mess up my head. COD 4....COD modern warfare....mondernwarfare1  you get the point.

Yeah the rebranding has worked for me. I just call it Modern Warfare 2 now instead of Call of Duty [insert something here].

Yeah, it's Modern Warfare 2 to me. There's a massive illuminated billboard up in Liverpool showing it and I was surprised to see the Call of Duty name on there, even if it's only as big as the ODE in Modern.

Damn marketing team.  Out of spite i will now refer to it as Call of Duty 6

It's not a matter of the "rebranding working on me", it's a matter of what the game's official title is. I call games by their title, not something made up. I refer to it as Modern Warfare 2 because that's what it is.
 
I was playing Gears of War 2 the other day and someone referred to it as "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2". It annoyed me. I am an elitist.

I call it modern warfare 2 cause that's it's name I guess, and because Im not big into COD. But a lot of my friends who game but don't keep up with news as much still call it COD6 : MW2

No, not really. I still associated it with Call of Duty, but if I'm typing in a hurry, I'll just brand it to "MW2." But I did that with the original MW, too.

Sometimes, i even just say Modern Warfare.

Depends who I'm talking to. I think I instinctively call it MW2 but for some people to get me I have to totally say 'The new CoD'.

Sometimes I accidently call C.O.D. 4 Modern Warfare (1) by accident so it appears to have worked.

It's just a long title, so the Call of Duty is stupid to include.
 
It's like how people don't say "The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion", they just say "Oblivion".

They could call it anything and I still wouldn't buy it.

yes, i can say it worked for me. i just call it modern warfare 2 because calling it call of duty modern warfare 2 is long. i call the first one call of duty 4.

I like that it's not Call of Duty because I'm not afraid they'll go back and start making WW2 games again.

I like it better for the most part. I just don't like it when people refer to it as MW 2 and pronounce the MW as (Mew) like the sound a cow makes.

I only know one person that still calls it Call of Duty, so apparently it worked.
