Remember Battlefield Bad Company and how they were making fun of games like Gears of War, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Rainbow Six: Vegas? 
  
It's not because they're trying to knock the games down, it's just to make fun of games that they at the same time respect.

Nothing wrong with a lighthearted jab.  It's all in good fun because everyone knows MW2 is a quality game that will do ridiculously well.

I think they're just crackin jokes and having fun. They know they won't be anywhere near as big as MW2, but they're gonna do their best to take jabs at it. Good clean fun, nice marketing. I'm all for it, and that's from someone who got MW2 on day 1 and won't get ACII until sometime during Q1 next year.

"Kill with skill"? I saw a friend play the first Assassin's Creed, and all he did was use the counterattack technique to kill all the enemies.

I'm shocked by all the people thinking these are genuine put-downs that Ubisoft is circulating, rather than the light-hearted jabs that they so clearly are. Christ, internet.

I'm sure Assassin's Creed 2 will be great, but the sales for it will be nothing compared to Modern Warfare 2.

Kudos on Ubisoft's marketing team for coming out with some good-natured trash-talking. Its easier than just ignoring the elephant in the room, and it certainly got a smile out of me.
 
As for websites getting paid off to give MW2 higher scores...move on.

MW2 is a good game that just has a bad community. 
 
Ubisoft has never even made a great game, closest they got was Sands of Time. And this is coming from someone who hates Call of Duty.
