Okay, I am a fan of ladies, but I feel like this game has reached a Soul Calibur level of creepiness. I understand that this is a game about extreme violence and outrageousness and calling it out for being overly sexy seems really weird, but I actually wanted to turn the Quick Look off after seeing the Mileena vs Mileena fight. Everyone gave Soul Calibur shit for this right? Why does no one seem to care when Mortal Kombat has extremely under-dressed ladies in it? Once again I will say that I kind of understand why the ladies in this game are like this, but it still creeps me the fuck out. Am I alone?

It does seem like Mileena is being weirdly sexualized, though. Like, much more so than before. I mean, it's Mileena. Her mouth is a goddamn lawnmower. Unless you're into vore (for god's sake, don't look that up if you don't know), it just seems... wrong.

Soul caliber took that stuff with the girl fighters further. MK doesn't seem to be that bad with that stuff. Also I didn't have a problem with that Mileena v. Mileena fight in the QL. So I guess just get over it then? It could be worse.

Admittedly, in the game before MK vs DC, Sonya looked like a bad transexual so this can only be a plus.

You could call it a double standard but seeing the women getting mutilated in this game kinda turns my stomach.

I think it's exactly what it needs to be. The game is meant to be balls-out crazy.

The common theory is that Mileena dresses like she does to take the focus off of her (totally awesome) set of jaws.  The real reason is of course to sell games, but still, she's consistently been one of the more awesome looking MK characters, skimpy clothes or no.

edit: Also when somebody uses the word "creepy," I think John Waters. If you look at the ladies in MK and think "creepy," something must be wrong.

The reason why it doesn't get the same reaction as Ivy is because, unlike Ivy, she's designed to be more of a parody. Instead of it being "Look at this hot bitch!", it's more "Look at this h..OH SHIT SHE IS EATING YOUR FACE!" 

So complaining about dragon age 2 boobs is over?

The difference between MK and SC is that MK isn't playing it all up for fan service. As the series went on, SC started to coat itself in this layer of awkward Japanese fetishism. We were constantly looking up skirts and watching large breasts bounce around the screen. Did anyone else notice how Ivy's rack seemed to get bigger and bigger with every entry in the series? In SC4 she looked like she was ripped out of some horrible hentai book. Milenna seems to be the only MK character behaving in any sort of erotic manner, but it really isn't all that sexy. Many others have pointed it that they find her self groping after a match to be either funny or flat out creepy. 
 
Boone and the guys don't intend on Milenna giving us little fanboy erections. No, they intend on her making as pause and after an awkward silence say, "That's kind of fucked up."

I don't think giant boobs are meant to be humorous.   It's the just the same kinda '12 Year Old kid', M Rating Mortal Kombat has been and still is going for.  Not necessary a bad thing though.  Soul Calibur honestly only has Ivy that has ridiculous breasts, everyone else is fairly normal (Well, Taki and Sophitia can be argued I guess).    As for parody of the entire fighting game genre, that's just silly. MK never parodied anything except 80s-90s misleading Asian martial art stereotypes. "

Well for the most part MK never really had the huge number of possibly hot women apart from Kitana & Sonya, at least until you got to MK vs DC with some of the DC female characters.

I disagree. There's a kind of knowing wink and a nod with all of that stuff that just seems like satire to me. The "12-year old kid" M rating is exactly what I mean when I say humorous. I think you'd be crazy to think they actually intend for the ludicrous outfits and gore to be taken seriously. Like I said: self-parody. It's been a long time since the first MK, long enough that it can be considered self-parody rather than simply parody of fantasy Kung-Fu movies anymore.
