Man, today is Persona day in Famitsu.
Well, it was incredibly obvious, but Famitsu revealed who the main staff behind Persona 5 will be. Hashino as the director, Meguro for sound and Soejima for art direction.
I guess its nice to get a reminder that P5 is a thing that actually exist. Expect more news at TGS.
Persona 5
Game » consists of 17 releases. Released Sep 15, 2016
The sixth main iteration in the long-running Persona series, Persona 5 follows a group of high school students (and a cat) who moonlight as the Phantom Thieves, out to reform society one rotten adult at a time.
Persona 5 main staff revealed(guess what)
THIS IS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER. All this Persona 4 news, one of my favourite games of all time, and now Persona 5 news.
Even though they just announced that it feels good to know that it's in familiar hands. No surprise really given the great amount of attention the series has received over the past three years.
Man I hope the game has graphics similar to Catherine. I also hope the game feels "open world-y" in its design. Imagine getting out of your room, walking in the house, then exiting the house and riding your bicycle all the way to school, then go up the stairs to your classroom, all of this without a single loading screen. Yeah, that would be pretty cool.
Anway, Persona is definitely big enough of a name these days to appear in TGS. Actually, a P5 would probably be one of the bigger titles.

@neoepoch: Its even more uncharacteristic of them to drop a name, and then stay radio silent. This the first they've directly come out and acknowledged P5 in something like Famitsu. They DO usually show something there, btw, just not much in the way of announcements Anway, Persona is definitely big enough of a name these days to appear in TGS. Ah ok then. That makes sense. Much obliged.
I'm just happy to hear anything about Persona 5. It makes the other news about Persona related jazz today much more enjoyable to think about, IMO, knowing that P5 is moving along.
"Expect more news at TGS."Maybe on the P4 stuff, but P5? I don't think we'll hear about it until next year.

For the record, Atlus won't be having any official presence on the show floor itself, judging by the attendee listings on the official site. Of course, there's always room for them to make an announcement in conjunction with the show timing-wise, but probably not on the show floor proper. Naturally, since I'll be going, I'll be among the first to hear if that changes, but I'm personally not expecting anything Persona-related there aside from anything the figure makers might bring and maybe stuff from Arc Systems, who will be there.

Arc systems have confirmed that Mayona Arena will show up, though.
