Well they teased something on Invisible Walls 42 and Daniel Bloodworth has just teased a little more on the GT forums:

Keep an eye on the site this afternoon for some new info on a big PS3 exclusive. I'm also discussing it on this Friday's Invisible Walls.

You can venture a guess as to what it is, but I won't be confirming.

Still no sign of an update. No doubt this will come too late for the UK, have to be up at 7 tomorrow so it'll be a case of bed and uni without knowing until I get home. *sigh*.

Crytek has a shit track record to say the least. Ratchet and Clank is one of the best series on Sony consoles. At the very least it's alright, and better than Far Cry and Crysis.

Man, you guys are un-selling me on Uncharted. I was thinking of picking it up in preparation for Uncharted 2 even though I really didn't like the demo.
Most people were saying how it gets pretty good at awhile so I considered giving it a second chance since you can get it for a smile nowadays.

Let's clarify a couple of things in this thread (no doubt I'll get -1ed for having an opinion again) but first and foremost Ratchet & Clank is not "bad" by any stretch of the imagination. I can see how people might think it repetitive but for me, Insomniac are the masters of making repetitive gameplay constantly interesting. I've played through Tools Of Destruction like 4 times now and still want to play through it again. There's just something about it that I can't put my finger on. Even I've sat around playing Ratchet & Clank thinking "this is so repetitive but I want more". Whether it's the satisfying weapons or the "bolt" collecting I'm not sure but that game (in my opinion) is hella fun. Not groundbreaking, not genre-defining but you know - I smile when I play it. It entertains me. Couldn't care less if it's an "art form" or not... It's the kind of game I want to play from time to time. Just well polished jumping, shooting and a light plot.

As for Uncharted I wouldn't recommend a £40 price tag on it (it's very short) but it's also a ride. The graphics are great, the story is relatively interesting with some truly memorable characters, voice acting and writing and the core gameplay mechanics are fun. Again the repetitive arguement comes up but it always switches the game up (jet-ski bits, puzzles, adventuring) just shy of the game becoming annoying. There are some AI issues and some gameplay elements that will frustrate but the good heavily outweigh the bad. Uncharted has become one of the "go-to" franchises of the PS3 for a reason. Because it's very solid with few quirks. Considering the price you can pick the game up for these days (like £10 second hand) there is really no reason not to play.

Enjoyed the interviews and news that came out of GameTrailers (and other sites) too. Quite interested in whether the inclusion of Chloe will result in a co-op mode. Seems that co-op is the buzz word these days.

People need to get this shit out of their head that 'if a game isn't doing something new, it sucks'. This just in, pretty much no game anymore does a single thing new. Especially shooters and action games. There is nothing new left to do that you haven't seen yet, its all been done. Its just the quality that it ends up finished and all the touches that make it worth playing or not.

Games aren't innovating shit anymore, but that doesn't make them bad. On top of that, games that have tried newer things to be different, don't always turn out well either. Yes, Uncharted was mostly just a cover shooter like Gears with part tomb raider in it, and you can use <insert game here> is just an <insert game here> ripoff as well to nearly any game ever created. Also, Gears did not invent the cover system, like so many people seem to think.

Uncharted is clearly Indiana Jones, not Tomb Raider, in story. Also, it's a fantastic game and I recommend it to anyone.
