I guess Cloud keeps his pimp hand strong.

sorry, bad joke. One thing that really bothered me is Other M. Well, actually, Other M is made up of multiple things that bother me.

To keep from creating walls of text as I'm known to do, I'll keep it brief (and generalized for the sake of avoiding spoilers). MOM sets up this bizarre betrayal mystery plot early on the game, then completely ignores it about half-way through. It never gets resolved. You're kind of given hints as to what happened, but no one in the game ever actually puts it all together. Its like the whole cast just forgot that someone might be a traitor.

I think I remember this. Is it masters of Orion?
I remember you could make a ship that was blatantly a Death Star, and there were three distinct alien races. Also in the second one (link above) there was a fourth race from another dimension that attacked sporadically through warp gates.

Upon retrospect, I think I am very wrong and have a faulty memory. I'll keep pondering on it.

As someone who grew up playing lame FMV games like Under a Killing Moon and Johnny Mnemonic, anything under double-digits is cool with me. I felt like The Ripper was the worst. I don't remember how many discs it came with, but I do remember having to swap them often.

" Boy, this thread's sure going to look pretty dumb in the relatively near future. "
There is great potential in these words. Is the next feature going to be "I love Wednesdays?" "I love "Tuesday Nights?" Or maybe "I love....Mondays?"

I anticipate the best.

This might be the best collectors edition of ANYTHING I have ever had the joy of witnessing. I thank you for making me aware of this, @crusader8463.

Youtube.com is where insightful comments go to die, if they go there at all. they are drowned out by a billion voices, sound and fury, signifying nothing.

I've always been of the opinion there isn't such a thing as, "Spamming" or "Cheap." most fighting games (good ones, anyway) offer techniques to combat such a thing.

'course, in the heat of the moment when I lose to the same tactic over and over, I'll be known to use the words anyway. In the back of my mind though, I know its my fault.

" @AceBlack19: Ok, I'm going to throw this out here for the third time now. The whole point of civil disobedience isn't just to inconvenience Sony. It's to inconvenience the customers. Sit ins at segregated lunch counters inconvenienced the shit out of anyone who might have been a patron, while not inconveniencing the legislature which legalized segregation. Was that a bad idea too? "
Are you really comparing sit-ins and the civil rights movement to this bullshit? "
I felt like I was in a spot where I had to say "yes, sit ins were bad"  which I obviously don't believe. I had a similar reaction at first, but I wised up to the overall point. Its not severity so much as it is purpose. The concept is the same, but the two issues are not as important.

EDIT: You two already figured that out though, so now i just feel silly.

Actually beej, no, it wasn't.

I didn't see your previous attempts (they got lost in the pages and pages of the thread), but now that I've gone back and looked it over I understand your point. In this case a DDOS can indeed be considered a virtual sit-in.

I think its important to remember when discussing anonymous that this isn't a group of well organized cyber terrorists. Any one of us could technically be "anonymous" just by joining in the hilarious hijinx taking place. (note that I don't actually think its hilarious.)

I do think this particular attack is absurd. As its been said before in this thread, this isn't really affecting Sony. DDOS works great on the Scientology website, sure, but Sony is a little better at dealing with sort of harassment. I suppose people not being able to access the store might be affecting sales, but its probably very slight and hardly a dent. All it really does is inconvenience PS3 users.

However, I don't think that Anonymous is a completely useless, hostile group. Like any tool, they can sometimes be used to great affect. Chris Forcand, for example, was the first moment I realized Anonymous was capable of great things. During the 2009 Iranian Election, Anonymous played an important role in keeping protesters informed while Ahmadinejads censorship was in full effect.

My point is that because Anonymous is made up of so many different people, its capable of being both a useful tool, and to administer unimportant nonsense. While Sony has earned their ire, I still consider this event to be in the latter.
