" You're right, it looks washed out in spots. Kinda awkward too with the blend of art styles. I still think it looks cool though. The trailer got me a bit excited for the game after almost forgetting about it. "
Same here, actually. When I heard about it I wasn't impressed, but this trailer made it look interesting to me again. I think it may have something to do with the multi-armed enemies and the use of Motion plus. The art style is not winning me over at all, but the graphics don't look all that terrible to me. What I'd really like to see from a Skyward Sword trailer is the equipment Links going to be collecting this time. I really don't think he needs yet another hookshot, or a new master sword he can throw into a pile with the others.
If I see him playing an ocarina or conducting wind in future trailers, I'll declare the Zelda franchise creatively bankrupt. Until then, I can wait it out and see what happens.
" The only thing I don't like about Idra is his excuses for losing is always about balance. He's the worst person to listen to talk about balance in SC2. Other than that he's fine. People exaggerate about the guy too much. "
Well said. I think one of his balance suggestions was "remove Terrain from the game."
" I would suggest something with racing like Forza 3, but I think racing games have too many of the same issues you're trying to avoid (they require a lot of concentration, and the view's not great if you're not battling for position). About the only way around this is if you're doing decidedly non-racing things with cars, and there's not many games for that. I guess I'd suggest Forza 3 (I can provide advice on this) and Burnout Paradise regardless of what I just said, but I'd also really enjoy watching more obscure fighting games. I find a lot of enjoyment watching lag-free fights happen, no matter the fighting game. "
I think it would make my day to see Clunker Push happen on TNT, so I'll second a Forza 3 night too.
" Mount and Blade Warband would be neat to see. I have never played the MP part of it, but the game itself is awesome. "
This would be awesome.
I also think it might be kinda fun to do Altitude or Lead and Gold: Gangs of the West (though L&G is still a shooter, at least the different functions of the classes offers variety).
Worms might be a lot of fun. I thought the series peaked with Armageddon, but Reloaded is still fun to play.
there's this crazy-ass space shooter called Shattered Horizon, but again, its a shooter.
What would really be a blast to get into a TNT for though? Either The Ship or Bloody Good Time. (I really wish BGT didn't have the assault rifle or shotgun, because the other weapon types are so crazy its almost weird for conventional weapons to be present.)
EDIT: Forgot to mention: Warband supports up to 64 players, which could seriously help cycle hopeful participants through. Also you spend a lot of time dead in Warband ( to be fair maybe this is just me) . This could lend itself to some "trash talk on the couch" time.
@chstupid: I apologize for the pain I caused... I think. I blame @CitizenKane for inviting this, and he's absolutely right- he's created something beyond himself. and I have my own share of blame to take for finding "The Situation" in action.
I offer this to make up for introducing The Situation to the mix. It might help. Or hurt. I really don't know which is which at this point.
