Its not quite what you're asking for, but I do have an SC2 recommendation. There's a series done by TotalBiscuit on youtube called "I Suck at Starcraft 2" where he shows replays of matches and commentates on what experienced players do versus what awful things he did. He's a much better player now and does this as a retrospective to help out new or learning players, and its been a very funny watch thus far. He does commentate on matches as well, but I find his "I suck at Starcraft 2" series to be a better watch.
I would murder the makers of game room slowly with a pair of pruning shears, but they're having hard times as it is. I'll let it go. The failure of Blade Kitten was punishment enough.
I agree with the speculation on a 10$ XBLA sunset riders release. X-men and the TMNT 1989 arcade game were both great candidates for game room, which of course means they can't be released there. Jeff was saying in one of the QL's that dreamcast games were going to be released in Game Room as well, and we all saw how that turned out too.
Its a shame. Game Room might be dead, but the idea of Game Room was a brilliant, poorly supported light.
EDIT: If they mess with Sunset Riders or alter the audio for Boss Greedwell's "bury me in my moneyyy!" I will call blasphemy.
" damn. thats great to hear. i love steam and i am glad that it proves a great service (with constant sales on good titles) can be super successful. i keep saying that if they just reduce the price of games they would likely sell more. i often buy things on sale on steam with no regret. but when $60 is on the table i get really picky. Value does a lot of things right by us and I am glad it is working out well for them. "
Good call sir, and I know someone who feels this way named Gabe Newell.
I always thought there was something to it, but nothing ever seemed to happen as a result.
EDIT: Looking back on this post I made 7 minutes ago, I guess Steam sales is the thing that happened as a result. Still, it didn't seem like any other distribution services picked up on it.
Well said sir OP, and good on you for starting this thread despite the potential for flame.
I'm not one for MMO's myself usually, and in fact detest WoW. That doesn't mean I dismiss it as a good game, however. Hell, an MMO with so many subscribers is doing something right, it just doesn't appeal to me. While there are certain things that bother me about DCUO online, the goods far outweigh the bads, and it is the first MMO I can play for more then several hours at a time.
