PS1 games I want to revisit
I've had this list on my phone notes for a while now. Guess it'd be better to put it in a place that has an actual video game listing feature.

One of the few side-scrolling beat 'em ups that I actually liked as a child. I might have played through it multiple times. I remember it being super cool and fun.
My personal favourite Mana game. It's weird and it's also got my favourite Yoko Shimomura soundtrack.
It's Motherfucking Pepsiman
I played way too much of this game. It was a very difficult game, and I did not finish it.
I don't remember why, but I really liked this game
Kungfu and mechs. What more could child-me have asked for. I Gamesharked this game to hell, and it was so badass to beat up huge-ass mechs with human-sized kungfu.
The laser gun in the opening is badass. Other than that, I don't remember much of it.
I spent too much time switching CD's and seeing what comes up, and completely not understanding how any of the gameplay actually works. I want to know how to actually progress in this game!
This game terrifies me, but also made me feel a lot better about my own weird dreams and nightmares.
This game rules! Who needs Megaman Legends 3!
A strange Ikaruga-like action platformer, where the direction you face changes your "polarity". I remember this having a cute art design.
I used to think that the character design is cool. Not sure about now.
I remember really liking the art style in this one. For some reason, I got the concept of the "water hammer" spell from this game really stuck in my mind.
I got lost in an early dungeon, and that drove me quite mad back then. Maybe I'll try to get further into this game.
Speaking of games that rule, this game also rules, hard.
The first level where you had to defeat terrorists in an airport in this fantasy game made a huge impression on me. This might had been my top turn-based strategy RPG of the era.
I have spent too much time thinking about this game, over the years. This might be a controversial opinion, but I liked this more than Parappa the Rapper. This game has a Parappa mode anyway!
This is a special one for me, because my good friend at the time recommended it to me. We played a lot of it together, and we referenced it a lot in school. We're not really friends anymore, but this game still reminds me of him! It's a fun and lighthearted character action game about skeletons and shit, so it's still right up my alley.
This might had been my most formative JRPG experience. I remember this game feeling very lonely, since it was the first JRPG I played that doesn't feature human party members.
I can't recall much about this, other than infiltrating an airship in the opening. I thought it was cool.
I loved the style of this game! Might be the first Treasure game I've ever played. Apparently this was an obscure game because of some publishing issue between Treasure and Enix.
Very very very very very very good! Very very very very very very good!
I'm hesitant to call this franchise "good", but it's certainly unique. I vividly recall being super mad playing this game at times, because it's slight in content, really repetitive, and frustrating at times. Not my greatest moments!
i legitimately thought this game was cool. yeah, i was kind of an idiot.
I kinda hated this game, but something about how it looks stuck with me??? I played it a lot because of that
Grandia II is on PC, but this is the one I played. I remember it being lighthearted and fun!
I forgot about this game but I still remember how the entire prologue goes!! Also its weird combo system that I don't think I ever really understood.
One of those games that I have snippets of in my memories but have no idea what it is anymore.
this had a really cool vibe to it. the boy can turn into animals and the girl knows magic or something. and so much voice acting! the VA seems bad now that i look at it. i remember using game shark for this and i moon jumped out of the weird dream/vr level.
i played the first dozen hours like 3 times for whatever reason. the combo thing is cool but kinda repetitive iirc.
any BoF game really. they kinda blend in together in my mind, but I remember 3 & 4 having very nice peak Capcom 2D art in particular. very cool fantasy feel to the world.
this is a game i keep forgetting the name of. i played a looooooot of this game with my sisters.
i don't think i ever understood what the hell was going on in this game
it's a musical strategy RPG. uhhh idk it wasn't that good but it stuck with me.
Chocobo's Dungeon 1 & 2, and Chocobo Racing. Weird spinoff titles that I remember liking. Dungeon is actually a pretty tough roguelike, though!
I remember playing Chrono Cross before playing Chrono Trigger, and feeling quite enamored by the many gameplay systems and various characters. I never got as far into this as I did in Chrono Trigger. I'm curious if this holds up now.
Almost forgot about this game. I never got very far into it...
I do not recall much of this game, but I saw a video of it and I do have a vague recollection of having played it... Hmm.
this series rocks. Tomba 1 was cool, but there's a lot going on in Tomba 2, IIRC.
These games were warioware before warioware was a thing, but competitive and super fast-paced. the three-button control scheme works great too!
i guess this is like an earlier game based on the Work Time Fun concept of working part time jobs. I didn't know any Japanese, so it was real interesting to try to figure out. I remember having to sing at the park at a certain day to unlock the music part time job.
the basement was legit scary!
a classic
also a classic(?)
this is the one i remember the most, with the race in the beginning of the game. maybe i'll also revisit tomb raider 1, even though i mostly played that on the n gage lol
i really liked how this game looks but somehow have 0 memory of the anime cutscenes
i remember liking this a whole bunch, i want to see if it holds up under scrutiny
late addition, this i remember being my favourite tales game back in the days. i'm pretty sure i played all of the tales games on the PS1.
oops i wanted to add this, but i thought it was a ps2 game at first. so here it goes. it was super confusing the first time i played it, maybe it'll make sense this time
i've added the chocobo mystery dungeon, but i forgot there's a couple more i played. i don't know what draws me to these games. i suck at them but i like these roguelikes
i played this not able to read any of the text, but it was still a fun time
weird light gun game where you have to protect/indirectly control a cartoon rabbit thing
i think this was some sort of light gun minigame collection? kinda like bishi bashi but with a gun i guess?
GOAT fishing game, i'm pretty sure. i think you can fish a t rex in it.
I think I played this one? The numbers go high and I thought that was cool and cyber
Yo I never seen this game but it sounds sick
Saw this and had some strong flashbacks to playing this a lot. It's really like some repressed memories or something
another one of "i've never seen this but i want to try it"
i'm pretty sure i played this. what even was this game
i think this was awful and difficult but lol i want to play it again
never played this one, but kept hearing about it so maybe i'll give it a shot? apparently a sequel is coming out soon.
