@bbalpert: I think it might be smart to organize a metro stop meet up since im gonna take it there too. what do you say? we can split the cab.
That would be cool, but there's still the issue of getting between my house and the West Falls Church metro station. If I can get that sorted out, then I'd be totally down to split a cab from Woodley to the bar.
Edit: Actually, I've decided that I'll just drive myself to the West Falls Church station if I can't get a ride. So count me in if you guys want to meet up at Woodley!
I'm going to see if I can figure out a way to get there, but I probably won't be able to make it. I don't want to have to drive back from the metro station to my house if I'm going to be drinking, but it'd be kind of a lot to ask of someone to give me a ride to/from the metro as the station closest to my house is like 40+ minutes away (if there's traffic, which there will be).
Doggone it, this sounds like it is gonna be a lot of fun, too... :(
Planet Hulk would be a great Hulk film. They already made the cartoon, but I want some live-action smashing. And the sequel, World War Hulk, is another easy set-up.
Apart from that, yeah I guess Saga could be pretty good, though I love the comic too much for it to exist as anything other than what it is already.
A Planet Hulk movie would pretty much just be Gladiator with a green Russell Crowe. Although that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.
I just hope that people don't start using "they're still grieving" as an even more asshole-ish version of "they're still settling into the new offices." That'd be just plain disrespectful.
Do you want to have a table/counter with some arcade controllers or are you thinking about making a control panel with the components embedded in it (like on a regular arcade machine)? If you're doing the latter, I'd recommend getting the buttons and joysticks individually and hooking them up with an input controller PCB like the Toodles Cthulhu or PS360+. You can get pretty much whatever you need from a place like Focus Attack or Paradise Arcade Shop.
But if you're looking for something more portable, MadCatz sells a basic fight stick that works for PS3/PC or 360/PC (but not PS3/360 as far as I know) for like $60. The buttons and joystick are not the best, but they're not terrible and you can swap them out for higher quality components. The only downside (depending on your tastes, at least) is that the controller looks like this.
Edit: On topic, however, those are some dope-ass kicks, @bombcastgoldthwait. And to give credit where credit is due, I couldn't have imagined myself ever non-ironically using a phrase like "dope-ass kicks" had it not been for Ryan's influence.
And I will wait for a cause of death to be announced. There are too many possibilities to bother guessing. To reflect on OP's question I can say that I personally knew people young and old who had aneurysms that resulted in stroke or death. There's no warning. They're just gone.
That happened to a classmate of mine (not during class, at least) when I was in high school. She was in class on Friday, never came back on Monday. Stuff can be really fucked up like that, unfortunately :(
