Unfortunately business has become so closely linked with government that it's unlikely there will be a meaningful change anytime soon in the amount of influence that corporations hold over lawmaking in this country." I'm tired of the corporate influence on America. "
It seems like this election cycle has seen more candidates who claim to be "not politicians, just businessmen/women." Sadly that line probably influenced a lot of people to vote for those candidates. The culture of worship surrounding business and moneymaking in this country has misled millions of average Americans into voting against their own interests in favor of the rich elite who have been squeezing the middle and lower classes for thirty years with promises that the wealth will "trickle down."
Unbelievable that the lower and middle classes have been duped into voting against their own interests time and time again. But when both major parties are in the pockets of big business, you have to wonder how much choice we even have.
