It looks cool, and I respect the effort that went into it, but eh. That goddamn Lucas tax.

Paying $450 for a 360 in 2012 is insane really. That's like a launch price of the consoles that will be out next year.

the animated trailers they put on youtube are actually pretty good. Maybe this will become the next my little pony and sell even more merchandise.

I also went out and bought the physical game, but I had fun with this version online too. I found a good group of randoms and we played for an hour or so.

San Andreas was the best GTA, so I'm down for the setting.

However, it's also got to have the location variety and sheer batshit insane fon of SA as well. The game looks gorgeous, but if it's more of the dead serious tone and shallow world of GTA 4, then I'll pass.

I don't mind the number of levels, but what they do with them. Sure, 2017 had 53 levels or whatever, but they were also short and varied. I can see why the levels in IA had to be longer, since it's focused towards online co-op, but they're all basically the same. 2017 had a variety of settings with different themes or objectives to the actual mission. IA takes place exclusively in one urban area and you're more or less doing the same thing the whole time.  
 
There still seems like a bunch to do if you want to grind to 100% though.

I'm not disappointed really because it's just a westernized EDF. It's got both good and bad changes, many of which were made to accommodate online co-op. Hopefully it at least sells well enough to get DLC.
 
I've only beaten Normal so far, but it appears to need a lot more grinding than 2017. With way fewer levels, that may get old real quick. The weapons did feel weak, bu that's probably mostly due to them making the robots, motherfucking wasps, and drop ships into bullet sponges. I would have preferred if they had like half the hp and just put more of them in the levels. Shooting what feels like 1000 rockets into one ufo is boring. There weren't that many wasps in the normal run, but it would have been fun fighting a whole 2017 style level or segment against them if they had a reasonable amount of health.  
  
The bot AI is surprisingly good, as they hold their own and revive you when needed. I also appreciate making the spiders weaker than in 2017. There were some levels in 2017 where a big group of spiders would just rape you with their webs, often times flying through building and crippling the framerate.  I still rate 2017 over this, and I never got in on the ps2 versions, but this is still fine for what it is.

MS cleared a bunch of good original xbox tags that were unused a few months ago. Would have been a great time to grab one then, might still be some good stuff left. I changed mine to Fozzie Bear and bought the avatar costume. It just felt right.

not a single post for this game. It's actually pretty damn fun. Took the best stuff about backbreaker, the physics, and got rid of the rest.
