America has always been paramount in portraying negative representations and stereotypes of other cultures and countries, I don't see why you'd expect to be treated differently.

I'm pretty pleased with the nominations, many great films and performances got nods. I haven't seen Extremely Loud so I can't comment on the hate for it.

Also I don't think Drive was a must for the nominations. I was a fine filmm, my favorite of the year actually, but there were much better movies like Tree of Life and A Separation.

I'll go with Thor, i've seen it three times since it was released and I still enjoy it a lot.

I did not find Rise to be all that good except for Andy Serkis and the visual effects, I thought it was rather boring actually.

I buy two whenever I buy a new console and I never have to replace them as I don't treat them like crap.
