Great work with the wiki, duder. It helps a whole lot when you add all these brand new Steam games to the site, or even expand on existing pages a little, because there's a lot of Twitch streaming people who come here and insist we make all these random pages so they show up on the API that Twitch uses to label streams.

This is a good idea for a blog too. I don't think I do enough wiki business to warrant a weekly update, but maybe one at the end of the year? I have a target I want to see met before 2015 rolls around, but it's going to take a while at the rate I'm going.

Great to hear. It's always nice to see people being passionate about wiki editing. I really do wish there were more of us though.

@mento: That would be great! I always like seeing wiki related content from people, but it seems not a lot of people do it.

@beachthunder: I really wish we could get a larger group of duders to work on the wiki. I really do want to see us as the best game wiki around. When I see the staff still going to wikipedia or other sites right away it makes me really want to put work into this site.

As far as the bigger group goes, we're going to try and work on wiki bounties pretty soon, hopefully. Should help a bit. As far as staff going to wikipedia, when I do that on a stream, usually it's because I just type something into google and get the first result. That and GB site responsiveness is not always the best when I'm live on stream...but hopefully that is getting better with the database move.

@rorie: Ah I loved the old wiki tasks, so bounties will be good. They always help me focus on one thing rather than jumping around a lot. Also the staff going to go Wikipedia just helps motivate me. :)

I hope so. A wiki doesn't really work well with a dozen or so regular wiki editors.

An awesome idea, the wiki really needs love these days. Hopefully this will spur others.

I admit I pretty much stopped contributing to it. I just got too frustrated after the site relaunch with things breaking, losing edits etc.

@slag: Oh trust me I have had my fair share of breaking the wiki.....so so much of it. Luckily my passion outlasted the really broken times.

@rorie: Are you going to handle wiki bounties the same way GameFAQ handles their bounties with gift card money rewards??

I used to blag occasionally about my GameFAQs contributions, but I can't seem to find those posts any more. That's a shame.

Thanks for writing this, duder. I loved setting Wiki Tasks every week and can't wait for them to make a return. It was a great way to attract new editors.

@mracoon: I hope those come back soon, it's a great way to fill in gaps within the wiki and for editors who just don't know where to begin it's a great way to contribute to the site. I know it helped me when I first went over to Screened.
