I get that a lot of people really love Dark Souls, but to me it really does not seem like the caliber of game to be called the game of this ENTIRE generation, especially over a game like Red Dead. It seems like here on Giant Bomb people are way more into the game than anywhere else I go to, not to mention I do not know a single person off of the internet that likes the game at all.

I certainly do see what the appeal is for people, I guess I am just surprised at how crazy people around these parts are for it. It seems like it did spike once Vinny started playing it, I am assuming that plays at least a small part in it.

Of course choosing a single game to be called the game of the generation is something I probably could not even do, far too many games I enjoyed immensely in this incredibly long generation.

Victor Musical Industries, Inc. should be renamed to Victor Entertainment which it is now named.

I love both of these games, but there is no way I could ever vote for Portal 2 over Civ 5. I continue to pump hours into Civ 5 long after I finished and moved on from Portal 2.

I honestly had no idea this game was THIS popular. 10 million people is a LOT of people playing what I thought was a niche game. Then there is still all of the people who bought it.

I would totally be playing Battlefield 4 on the PC except for how poorly it ran for me during the beta, time to get a new video card I guess. I will probably end up getting it for PS4, whenever I get around to picking one of those up.

An insurmountable number of games. And every time I finish a game, it seems like I have acquired at least 2 more.

More times than I would ever want to admit. It doesn't even have to be a new edition, sometimes just on multiple platforms.

These issues are precisely why I did not purchase Ghosts. I always defended Call of Duty and always spent hundreds of hours playing the multiplayer, but after these issues not getting fixed for multiple games now I can't take it anymore. With each game the BS seems to get worse. With the dying around corners, terrible spawns, and shooting people with an entire clip only to have them turn around and kill me instantly the game is just not fun anymore.

Just to throw my 2 cents in, I also think it should be deleted. If the shotgun were more special than just another shotgun it would be different, but it really is just a shotgun.
