How I Spent 2013
I spent a lot of 2013 playing things that didn't come out in 2013. Here's a list of both, starting with what I played the most of and working my way down as best I can estimate.

As soon as I finished Persona 3 FES I immediately wanted to play 4. I had to hold out for a bit, just to spread out the enjoyment, but I've already dumped 100+ hours into this as my substitute for bedtime reading.
Though I started playing in fall of 2012, I easily sank 60 hours into it in 2013. Bought it through PSN thinking, "this doesn't seem like my kind of thing but let's see what the fuss is all about." I obviously ended up loving it.
When GTA IV game out I was kind of lukewarm on it. Though a technically impressive accomplishment, it was never particularly compelling. So it was with trepidation that I popped in GTA V. But the multiple protagonists, the return to a more outrageous style of gameplay, and excellent story missions brought me right back into the GTA fold.
I replayed Chrono Cross for a special episode of the Low Score podcast we were going to record. It was my third time fully through the game (I had my original playthrough and 1.5 previous NG+ runs). The stuff I love about it like the combat and overarching mythology are still great, but I finally took off the rose-colored glasses to recognize its flaws. Regardless of that, I still love it.
