Not enough damning of canon in the world, I say. I think canon is for franchises that are fragile but still have some life in them, to keep them from getting train wrecked by someone who is more ambitious than caring, but Tron seemed solid enough and felt largely abandoned, so why not go nuts with the ideas in there? The bit says "yes," the bit is law.
 
Xenogears was something we wanted to get into, but it was also one of the first games I remember inflating in price so much that I gave up trying to get it. Granted this was years after its release.

Thankfully Xenogears is finally out in English on the PSN network, after tempting us in Japanese for so long.

I have been playing it mainly off my PSP, which is a remarkably good way to experience those low-res sprites.
