I've been following GB since Arrow Pointing Down (And really before that with the Hotspot and Gamespot group).

It's been a wild ride - whatever the outcome, this will be it for me.

I don't know if I can actually quantify just how much GB has meant to me over the years.

Bakalar is fantastic - sounds interesting - I do wonder if they're keeping both sites distinct or if they're looking to align and amalgamate them in some way? (not a conspiracy theory - just a thought)

This was the best GOTY deliberations to listen to in more recent memory.

While I do appreciate that they were trying something new and different that worked for them in prior years with the listing of every game, that format was just no fun at all to listen to.

I think this year was a great balance of a happy medium.

The listing each top 10 to get the general GOTY preliminary list was good. The 'this hangs here' category to give 'lower' games their due was good, and then starting the top 10 from an already semi-curate list of 25 worked really well.

A good range of categories as well that generally covered most of the areas needed.

Only negative was Final Fantasy VII Remake being robbed in the best music category - I can't believe no-one went to bat harder for that game!!!! You savages!

Technically Animal Crossing as my son and I stayed up for the NYE Countdown in the game together

Then I've been playing Jedi: Fallen Order (which is really good - I picked it up in the current sale and they've eliminated whatever really bad bugginess I had heard it had at launch) and I'm getting into Stellaris

I haven't picked it up yet. My hardware is a bit older (1070 and, my main worry, Ryzen 5 CPU)

However i haven't gotten a new console either and my ps4 pro already sounds like a jet engine playing anything else.

I know I should wait until Cyberpunk is further patched by I know I'm going to cave and pick it up soon anyway

My issue is my CPU

MY GPU is a 1070 so it should be okay (Though not stellar), but my CPU is a Ryzen 5 - which meets the minimum but I don't know how much that would chug

I don't want to get it on PS4 Pro because that thing is already a jet engine

Tbh I'm probably waiting until I hear better stuff about patches anyway
