Did anyone really think this game was going come out? As an MMO, that is. Not to piss anyone off, but it would have failed. It would have quickly been turned into a free to play MMO and slowly dwindle in the charts of popularity/player count. MMO's, subscription wise, are a thing of the past. Too many have failed at this point, and the market for it has changed. As costs continue to go up, and as more and more players continue to keep their money in their pocket (most players would rather not pay for subscriptions) it's just not worth the risk. If the developer doesn't have the money to TRY and make a high end MMO (most developers do not), then in the end, it's not even worth the cost. They are better off creating this game, and others, in a single player/multi-player setting.

Yeah, of course he's telling the truth. Why would he lie? Jeff's not like that.

I will just have to get over it and see how it turns out. I can't blame them.

My subscription payment was made in the belief that I was giving money to GiantBomb and WM, not fucking CBS. I have bought a ton of stuff from the WM store, even those free subscriptions for someone less fortunate.

I did all this to keep GB/WM independent and believing they stood for what was said.

This website was founded with the idea of sticking it to the man, I didn't think that meant sticking it up his ass though.

I feel even worse today than the day I read that dreaded Penny Arcade strip. This is just horrible.

I do sincerely hope that the GB crew got some cash for this though, no one deserves it more. Retire and be happy, I knew it would end some day, I just hoped it would last a little longer.

Quoted for truth.

I hope it all works out for them.

*Edit* I decided to keep my subscription, as long as Giant Bomb remains Giant Bomb.

*Edit*

I decided to stay on board with Giant Bomb, as long as it actually remains Giant Bomb.

Sorry, but I can't help but cancel my subscription. I paid for my subscription to support the crew, not to help fill in CBS's pockets. Looks like you won't need my support any more. You will have CBS's...

It feels like IGN's way of making money.
