Sounds good. I could potentially be getting into this sort of thing in the the future (a good few years), but i'm interested either way. I'll give it a listen either tonight or tomorrow sometime, as i've got a bit of work to be getting on with.

Also, you should be rocking the iTunes feed unless that's already in the works, as well as the Zune marketplace and whatever. It makes it so much easier to keep track of all these podcasts.

I used to work in communications for a power company and you guys sound just like them. Design, write and teach. You then let it and them do its thing.

Physical media over digital... that's interesting. I liked the story of the 50th endurance run. Good stuff, enjoyed.

To clarify, we "communications" hired a team to design, write and teach "us" how to use the new PCs. Circa 1988-91. Communications was key for warnings and such with plants of power. I played some good games on those PCs. I would get off work and play games until 8 or 9.

That was a good listen. It's always interesting to hear about the more technical side of the site, and I look forward to hearing more from the Whiskey Media team. The MP3.com and TV.com influence was always pretty obvious to me, especially knowing you guys came from there; so it's nice to see you acknowledge that. The use of past tense is weird though. Those sites haven't really changed since you guys left. ;)

I knew you guys would start pulling all that data over eventually, can't wait to see what happens with that stuff, I'm sure it will be awesome.

Im about 20 minutes in, this is awesome!

This was a really great podcast, you guys. I don't  have a ton of technical or "design" knowledge, so some of the specifics were lost on me, but it was still facinating hearing about things you rarely get to think about (like how a shift to a whole new programming language can make for such a dramatic architecture change for these sites. And, of course, we can all get behind forming a company so that you don't have to program for THE MAN.

I will take a listen.

Real interesting podcast. I'm sort of undecided currently if I want to pursue web design for a career or not. It's nice hearing from people who are in the field.
