Cybexx: E3 2010 Most Anticipated Games

List items

  • So pumped to try the 3DS, will probably have to wait till 2011 though.

  • Initial stuff looks amazing, looks like they are drawing from other student games, should be amazing.

  • The new Cole is kind of weirding me out still, but I love Sucker Punch

  • Looking forward to this game, but I'm hoping it strays from the traditional Zelda formula more than the E3 demo lets on.

  • Graphically it looks great, hope it has more variety than its letting on, but it should be a solid 3DS launch title. Assuming its a launch title.

  • Looks so fun and adorable...

  • Would have loved to see actual gameplay footage, but the Pre-rendered trailer looks amazing and the impressions from behind closed doors demos was really encouraging. Love to see a modern take on this style of game.

  • I keep hearing the campaign is going to be influenced by the openness of some of Halo 1's levels, we have yet to see proof of this, but if that is true in the way I want it to be I am pretty stoked. Space Battles could be interesting.

  • Mostly stoked because Retro is working on this. Trailer looked good. My familiarity of the series comes from hanging out at friend's houses so I've never gone too far into the series but it looks fun.

  • Despite this being developed by the former B Team it looks really cool. This is the game were Treyarch needs to prove they can carry the CoD franchise and they are looking good so far.

  • The concept art and the initial game informer story had me so pumped for this game, conceptually its amazing. However I have been disappointed with the gameplay videos so far. It doesn't look horrible by any means but I was hoping they would figure out cleverer ways to get around the Wii's technical limits. Plat-forming from the videos also looks a little iffy but I'm hoping it comes together in the end. Sounds like Disney has give Warren Spector all the time he needs to get this right.

  • Civilization IV was awesome, Civilization Revolution was a great rethink of the series. I love that this series doesn't just take the last game and add more stuff they re-think the mechanics each time and this one looks to be on the right path so far.

  • Killzone 2 was surprisingly fun, multiplayer was a cool mix of CoD and Team Fortress 2 with amazing graphics. Probably will not be experiencing this one in 3D any time soon but it should still be fun.

  • This whole series including the PSP game have been really fun, looking forward to this one.

  • My experience with the series has been largely peripheral, though I did really enjoy MK vs DC. Just hearing how excited the GB crew is for this game makes me excited.

  • This is still somewhat of an unknown for me. Bioshock 2 was done by 2K Marine and while solid it lacks the new engaging feel of the first one, probably why I haven't finished it yet. However maybe they will do better with what is essentially a new property. It sounds like the game does take influence from the original X-com game. It seems like it has a map, this time of the US not the world. It has the base management stuff as well as randomized missions. It is starting to sound exactly how I wanted it to be. Will be interesting to see how deep that stuff goes and how well the shooter sections play. I am cautiously optimistic.

  • Bionic Commando Rearmed may actually be my favorite game of 2008. This is a different team and they aren't working from the original BC's blueprint so it will be interesting to see how this turns out.

  • Having fun with Alpha Protocol right now despite its flaws. While this looks like an extensive expansion pack to Fallout 3, I am excited to see what Obsidian brings to the table.

  • Looks pretty true to the PS2/Wii game, graphics are really good for the DS. Wonder how the 3D movement controls with just a D-Pad. Wish they would do a 360/PS3 Okami, that could look absolutely amazing but I'm just happy the series isn't dead yet. Need to finish either my PS2 or Wii copy of the original before this comes out. I mean I even own the art book and I haven't finished the game.

  • Love the Ace Attorney series, this looks good, animation looks really good. Looks like a lot of trial and error gameplay, but I'm not one to shy away from that.

  • Need to finish the second one but I love the style of this series and the puzzle design.

  • Professor? We're in 3D! Interested to see how this looks since it still looks like a lot of 2D art, could have a intreating floating effect to the depth. Really hope they figured out a way to make the FMV cutscenes work in 3D.

  • While this barely made an appearance at E3 due to the fact it is almost out I think it should have a place in this list. There are still a ton of questions around the structure of this game and how it will ultimately end up playing. I am not expecting this to be as good as Metroid Prime and it could very well come out and end up being mediocre but I hope it comes out to be its own unique awesome game.

  • I actually imported this game from Japan a year ago to encourage myself to learn Japanese. Hasn't worked out amazing due to time constraints and it was literally taking me hours to get through conversations. I've yet to get very far in this game but I will pick it up in english so I don't have then language barrier.

  • This looks like a pretty cool Team Fortress 2 inspired game on XBLA. I was skeptical of it at first but it sounds like it has a number of DotA influences as well so that makes it a bit more intriguing than a straight up Team Fortress 2 clone. Hope it can be half as good as its influences.

  • Graphically looks amazing and the gameplay looks like it could be fun.

  • I did enjoy the last few Tomb Raider games, so I'm interested to see a radically different take on the series.

  • Microsoft has the Hydro Thunder license eh? Last time I played Hydro Thunder it was a decade ago, I was in Middle school on a 12 hour ferry ride and the arcade drew me in like a bee to honey since everything else was so mind numbingly boring. Should be fun :)

  • Cool to see that 2D Castlevania isn't dead yet, something about this makes it seem more like a party game and less like a traditional Castlevania though, we will see. Can't be as bad as Castlevania Judgment.
