I am really concerned by the touchpad and motion thing. Granted, I don't play a whole lot of console games any more, I'm barely buying one a year, but I'm not even going to bother with the new generation if they're all going to be Wii-Us.
I get infuriated any time I have to play using more than 1 shoulder button on each side of the controller. I don't need more dumb shit on top of that.
Okay, thanks. So it's nothing I can do on my side in the meantime then?
I skimmed through the subforums, but there were like a million threads in the bug one with just a couple posts in each. Sorry if I missed the relevant one. Actually, I appeat to have looked at the delete and combine one. Must've misclicked. It's all very confusing here outside of my Internet comfort zone.
So since some time around December or January, all video content on this site has been seriously throttled for me. It's taking ages to get content streamed or downloaded. I'm waiting on a 16hour download for an old TNT now. This is driving me out of my mind.
I vaguely recall finding something about the problem when it started happening. Something about your content going through China, and the Chinese being up in arms about it coming from a google-dns or something. That's a lingo I only barely grasp, so please tell me how to fix it if it's a known issue.
This will go nowhere. It's just like when the common man learned to read back when only clergy and nobles could read, and all the high class people thought that'd cause them to go nuts or whatever. Or how your dad got yelled at for listening to Beatles or Elvis or whatever because the music would turn him into a devil worshipper.
All of the Western world get the same sort of media content and entertainment that the US gets. If it was turning people crazy, there'd be shit like this happening all the time everywhere. It doesn't follow that pattern, which means the causes are more complicated than watching computer mans get shot.
I managed to find 7 games I had some marginal interest in after browsing through 459 that looked awful. This batch of 10 does not contain any of my favourites. I won't pretend that my personal disappointment and following disinterest matter in the grand scheme, but I know I won't bother looking more at Greenlight. That could spell trouble for them if it's a shared sentiment among steam users.
I kind of wonder what this means for Saints Row and Dawn of War, but then again, those games kind of peaked with their last iterations. Relic and Volition might as well do something new, if they even survive as the studios we know, I suppose.
