Both seconded. By both me and my mother, who saw Shia for the first time last night, and asked why the hell he was being paid so much, and how he was an actor (she hated him without seeing a single movie he's in, she has a keen intellect)

They're doing it wrong, but it is possible to achieve a high in a similar way. Not through any digital magic though, and it takes ages. What you do is cut a ping pong ball in half, get a red light, put the ping pong halves over your eyes and shine the light on them (so all you can see is red), then use the headphones to play static. Essentially it's a form of stimulant deprivation, and after laying there for more than an hour, your brain basically starts to make up its own shit, producing hallucinations that can be as strong as acid trips.

A lot of people don't realise this, but language impacts a lot on the way we think. People with different languages actually think differently to you, and while fluent in other languages, the way you think can change as well.

I don't think Galactic civ is my thing, I guess I'll try Sins though. Shame there isn't an updated version of Orion, that game was awesome.

I've been looking for a new space strategy game, something a lot like Master of Orion. But a bit more modern, if that's possible. I've been looking at Sins of a Solar Empire, but I don't know anything about it. Any suggestions?

I dunno, I liked it, but I felt the later stages were too underdeveloped. They became dumbed down rts's and civ games, not what they should have been. I would love to see a serious, non-cartoony remake of Spore, where you really define your species and its traits.

Nanobots, even assuming the Grey Goo theory doesn't occur, then they'll still change the world greatly. But may also be insanely beneficial.
