Both. Society is the oppression of the individual, on almost every level although obviously with varying degrees of oppression. However through this oppression, order, cohesiveness and general unity are achieved, hence giving us prosperity.
And so another one drags itself from the fetid swamp to see the light, and walk amongst the Gods. (you're running it on a Mac though, so you're still kind of hunched over a bit)
Yeah, start with the Half Life games, maybe go to the second one and episodes if you're in a hurry. I've never played the first, but loved the second. Then Portal I think.
Dam I usually know a lot of these, only remember a few.
Bananas are technically herbs, not fruit.
Flamethrowers are legal in most US states.
Alcohol was vital for the formation of human civilisation. You see a man could grow enough wheat to feed his family, so there was no reason to join other family groups. However he could not grow food for his family and enough to make beer with. So people joined together forming villages and then cities to produce alcohol. It's estimated that half of the entire wheat production of one of the first civilisations, Sol, went into making alcohol.
3 out the first 5 US Presidents died on July 4, while the Battle of Gettysburg ended on July 4 and US Grant's 6 month campaign against the city of Vickysburg, Mississippi, ended with the city's surrender on July 4.
In other Civil War facts, it began and ended in the same man's living room. Wilmer McLean lived on the main road between Washington DC and Richmond, so he was in the firing line when the war started. In the first battle of the Civil war, the First Battle of Bull Run, Confed General Beauregard used his home as a command centre and it was shelled by Union forces. After the Second Battle of Bull Run broke out, Wilmer moved to the town that became Appomattox Court House, Virginia, where General Lee eventually surrendered to US Grant, in McLean's parlour room.
Mount&Blade: Warbands- $14.99 - I loved the first, although the new combat is throwing me so much, I'm having trouble getting into it.
Introversion Complete Pack- $5 - I actually wanted Darwinia and Defcon, yet to play Uplink because everytime I go to download it tells me that the server's are busy, but whatevs.
Trine - $4 - Nice little 2D platformer, yet to play it extensively, lack of save points is frustrating.
Men of War: Gold Edition - $8.74 - Probably the best RTS I've ever played. I know I'm gonna sink a lot of hours clocking this.
Osmos - $2.49 - Really nice game, but a bit frustrating, needs to be played in spurts.
Civ IV Complete Edition - $29.99 - No explanation necessary, although a bit peeved it was dropped to $10 the day after I bought it.
Did anybody else notice how he quietly just mentioned that he wants Activision to run an online service for this pc-console thing...I'm thinking it'll be just like Xbox Live with a subscription.
