I tried applying at a Piggly Wiggly, just because I need some money and they had a "Now Hiring" sign up.  When I got in and requested an application, they told me they were not hiring right now.  On one hand, I'm too skilled and useful to really work for them anyway, but on the other hand what the heck is going on when you can't even find work at a grocery store?

Anyway, my application is officially being considered for grad school.  I expect to get in;  the director of graduate admissions basically told me I'd get in if I applied, but he did it using the weasely language that covers his ass if something goes wrong.

Saw Dark Spore gameplay video, but my family was aggervating me while I was trying to watch it so I'll go back and see it later when they go to bed.  I think it looks alright;  I liked Sacred, but didn't like Diablo II much.  That sort of game tends to be hit-and-miss with me.

Yeah, finding a job now-a-days sucks.  You basically have to know somebody that can hook you up with a job.

Be glad you have a college education to fall back on. I was just laid off from a freakin tobacco store, back to the unemployment line. Such is life.

Yeah, I had no idea how hard it was finding a job nowadays, since I'm getting one working at my grandfather's business as an office boy. Then, since I don't have a job at the moment, I found my picture in a paper about teen joblessness. Yeah....

The even awesomer part, is that the longer you are unemployed, the less likely you are to be hired, which makes you unemployed longer, and even LESS likely to get hired, and so on to the backs of lesser fleas to bite.

Ya, I have back problems so I can't even get a job working at a grocery store or a Mc Donalds because I need a job where I sit down a lot. Sadly that means the only places I can get a job around here is at a call center, and the best part is that the only call centers worth working at you can never get hired at because they hire people for life. They are some of the best jobs in the area so when you get it you want to keep it for as long as you can.

i have an MBA and i can't even get out of my dead end job, and lots of my friends with a Bachelor's are still stuck at jobs they've had since high school.  it's depressing, but what can you do.
