Maybe I don't play online enough, but I almost never see or hear people saying bad stuff. I was playing Garry's Mod the other day on a casual hangout server and I can't remember anything obviously offensive being said. I always imagine censorship being taken to its logical extreme where if certain words are banned, the worst thing you're allowed to say is then the worst thing you can say. Maybe that's not how it actually works, but it seems like that's how it should.
Since I found Giant Bomb and started watching Quick Looks, I've felt like once I get to around an hour in a session, I start to think "Okay, that's enough for now." There's the occasional game I play at length for as long as I feel like, but I have so much I could be doing that I don't tend to stick with any single game for very long.
I wish Rorie's streamed were featured/archived more prominently, because then I'd actually watch them. As it is, they always seem elusive to me.
I think it's naive to say videos don't fill certain slots in schedule, or something similar. There are scheduling concerns and they've always made it seem like half their jobs was just planning what was going to go up on the site when. I'd like for videos to be released as soon as they were ready, but that's not how the site works.
I'm surprised people in this thread are so diappointed with it. I wish I could play more, but I get VR headaches after an hour or so. I wouldn't play 2D games on it, because the detail isn't great, but for Netflix and stuff, it's fine for me.
Are there other forms of gambling where you aren't trying to win money? I guess there are gambling games where you can buy digital money but can't cash out. Even in a real arcade, at least in the UK, machines that pay out cash are 18+ gambling machines, but claw machines where you're risking money to maybe get a stuffed toy aren't.
Someone touched on it earlier in this thread, but I've always liked the idea of blind boxes, I've just never found ones I've cared about enough to participate in. I was hoping a game I liked would have them in one day so I could get some enjoyment out of the concept.
