Being all over Origins, I couldn't be more excited about the reality and existence of a new Rayman game being in the works, following the same design-descions evident in the first game. Most likely the other platforms are current-gen as both consoles have the means to scan objects in some fashion. Though if those features don't make it into the PS3 or the 360, I don't know how much it'll figures into the overall moment-to-moment play.

Cool! Looking forward to seeing it. Some really good buzz coming out of folks who have seen this.

Wow, wasn't seeing this one coming. No word as to whether or not he'll, still, be covering the games-industry in some capacity or not, save for the part where it is oulined that he'll be part of the production of videogame film projects. Though, the part where it says his departure wasn't "on amicable terms" sounds rather a bit ugly.

@FritzDude: This just came to my attention as well, after I, for the firs time ever since the site launched, tried to change my default picture. The whole site appears to be muddled in Internet Explorer. Maybe it's my computer, I don't know, but Internet Explorer doesn't gel well with GB at the moment, from what I gather. It doesn't even let me reply to your comment, making me type out your name manually. Above the open space in which you type, it says: "Your browser does not support our text editor. Here is a simple textarea to write in." I wouldn't be surprised if it's only you and me using IE while on GB -- haha. Hope someone flags this as an issue.

Even if it's a time-crunch on their end, the Bombcast NEEDS SHOWNOTES, with everything's that been happening with regard to spoilers lately. Or, if they aren't going the extra mile of having shownotes for each show, have it at the very least when spoilers are concerned. Everyone will be happy that way.

Nowhere else to take this up but here I guess, but did anyone else notice how the "Holy Crap!!" thread, based on what came out of Jeff's twitter, just disappeared?

At this point, I just read the Movies section of the Nytimes and the AV Club. It's such a shame that Screened, following the buyout, never rised to the challenge of restoring its worth. There's so much there the community helped building, outside of the, now sporadic, content. Picking up from where those guys left off was never going to make things as they were, so I'm hoping they find their own groove as things get on track, if that is to happen. Maybe a facelift of the site's design, a rename -- anything that sets them apart, because the Screened brand, as we know it, is so reflective of its former self and a product of Alex and Rorie.

Some good recommendations thrown your way for sure. A few good-time satires worth putting on your blindspot list, in case you haven't seen them, are Idiocracy, Office Space (who hasn't?) and In the Loop (if you thoght you knew how to swear, this verbal back-stabbing political comedy will have you reconsider). With In The Loop, because of its master-class merits in spewing foul language beyond imagination, watch it with subtitles. Really, the screenwriters of this film make an art out of swearing, so make it a prioroty to watch it with subtitles, otherwise it just flies above your head.

Another one I came up with, Andrew Ryan from the land of Bioshock, which can be seen as fiction, right?
