Here I am logging on on Giantbomb in a long time and i see this thread....

Who to blame?

The community, the mods, the staff? Dunno but it is nothing but an empty shell of its former self. Well hopefully it will turn around but the way things are going i doubt it. Well the forums and the wiki don't matter for the site really, most of the site visits are for the staff's content, would they simply be taken it away not much would change for Giantbomb.

Well that is enough negativity for today.

mommys and little daughters dont pirate!

Oh but on the contrary, it is so easy that even they can pull it off and they are the ones that would be spending money on actual games if it would have been more complicated to do. No company will ever be able to lock out piracy but I sure hope that Nintendo will make it complicated enough to root out the "casual pirates" that this generation birthed.

As for the pricing point i think 15 percent more then what the DS launched for since they've come out and said that it would be more expensive then that at launch.

Pretty straight up yeah. Some odd mix of a classic Tony Hawk game and that, looks fun though.

I did think passingly of De Blob while they demoed the game but I think this is very far from a carbon copy of De Blob. As has been posted above the concept of returning colour to a dull world was by no means invented by that game.

"
You jump on stuff and it changes back to its original state, that is pretty much de Blob. Those other games mentioned above are nothing like that. Oh well so long as the game it fun.

" While I would have preferred a full -on wind waker like look, the compromise is okay.  If it actually works well, the "motion plus" sword control could be pretty good.  However, the pointer control of the bow, hookshot, etc. was one of the few decent ideas in the Wii conversion of Twilight Princess.   Losing those for what looks like a less precise method seems like a silly change for the sake of change.  Why not use motion plus for the sword, whip, etc. but keep the pointer controls for those items which you aim and shoot?    As far as the structure of the game itself, I would like to see some new ideas.  However, considering how little of the game we've seen so far they may be there.  It is too early to honestly know one way or the other so I'm going to reserve judgment.      EDIT: I am also worried about using the nunchuck's motion control to control the shield.  My experience has been that the gyroscope in the nunchuck is pretty much worthless unless it is simply used for --> shake to do something.  Even then it often triggers inadvertently. "
There is this game called Zangeki No Reginliev by Sandlot that came out on the Wii some time ago already in Japan. It is build from the ground up for the M+ just like this game and actually has the same IR-less pointer. It is hard to imagine it working just as well as the IR pointer but it actually does and I was quite surprised by it myself. Plus it has the upside of you not needing to be actually pointing at the sensor bar to get into aiming mode. I suspect that it is still using the IR pointer like in Zangeki to re calibrate the M+ unit and reposition the pointer.

As for the nunchuk I'll agree that it does not work all that great for such purposes, hopefully they'll be able to tune it correctly. Well it are the side ways motions in particular that did not always register correctly.

Well this thread title should freak out some mods.

A new system menu update just rolled out in Europe that updates the shop channel. The big feature being that people can now become "Wii Conection Platimun Masters" and download all the NES, SNES and N64 Virtual console title for free.

You will have to do something for it though. You will need to help 20 people to get their Wii online.

Quite a number but for what you get in return it is well worth placing some adds in your local super market offering to help people to get it online for free.

Get those Wii's online!

Thankfully RiotBananas has a picture of himself in his profile which makes this whole thread oh so amusing. Love it when people do that.
