Traded in my copy a while ago. The online portion of the game has never worked right and was always horribly laggy whenever I was able to connect with someone to play. Glad I only paid $40 for it on Amazon a couple weeks after it came out. And why is this Microsoft's fault? I've bought a lot of DLC in the past and have had games updated 100's of times and haven't had any of the problems with those other titles that I had with MK9. I put the blame squarely on NRS. Too bad too since I did enjoy what little I got to play of it. Oh-well.
Bastion will be a day one buy for me. Haven't spent 1200 space bucks on a game in a long time but I know it'll be totally worth it with Greg Kasavin as the creative director. That and I've been itching for a good dungeon crawl and this looks like a breath of fresh air in that genre. I'll trial the others. If there's anything I like I'll wait till it's on sale.
I've put in about 7 hours of TF2 now an so far my experience has been pretty good. I usually play king of the hill matches and I'm having a blast. Just go through the tutorials, play against some bots to get a feel for the different classes. Personally I like starting out as a Solder, then I'll switch to Sniper if we have the point, then switch to a Heavy to help recapture. Good fun!
Haven't had a problem for a couple of weeks now. I'll bookmark this page just in case it happens again. Nice to know that we ALL can be 'Top Men'. Hey! Do we get a badge or something? Maybe learn the secret hand shake perhaps?
You should be able to run this just fine. The Source graphx engine scales really well to low end systems. It was mentioned earlier that a toaster could run this game. Pretty much true. I can play this fine on my 5 year old machine with a 1.8 Pentium Dual Core and a 9600 GT GPU.
Yup, I got her for free as well. Apparently there's a glitch. When you down load the compatibility pack with the Cyrax/Sektor classic skins you also get Skarlet.
I really didn't mind 'The Duke'. I put many hours worth of Morrowind in on that and it was pretty comfortable. I don't even have huge hands. I did get a couple of S controllers later on cause the D-pad was better on those for fighting games.
